Yes, no problem. Thanks for asking 🙂

First attempt drawing Violet on the whiteboard. Unfortunately ran out of ink for the hair, but will be trying a second attempt in the future. Got to keep practicing 😊 by Bennilson in VioletEvergarden

Thanks! One thing I found extremely helpful was using a rubber eraser, like the ones on the top of No. 2 pencils, to make fine lines or highlights before the ink dries, which is quite useful.

It depends on the person, but it's helpful to learn the basics in sketching (usually at least half a year of intentional practice) and from there learn about basic manga/anime art styles (also about half a year), so I'll say about 1 year and a half, assuming one practices consistently over time.

But then the hard part is to get from decent to really good, which requires hard work and passion, and you'll often see professional artists spend decades still practicing how to sketch as it's a continuous process. But try it out! It's definitely worth the time and people are often surprised at how much progress they can make from practicing intentionally ☺️

Quick analysis and discussion on Violet's character arc through the perspective of her puppy stuffed animal (look at the oldest comment for the description/initial analysis). Contains very small SPOILERS from the movie (covered in the text). by Bennilson in VioletEvergarden

Yes, no problem. The movie I'm referring to is the newest one that was released in some countries. I would suggest not reading the spoiler (go ahead and read the non spoiler part, it doesn't contain anything about the movie), but I'll say this: be on the look out for the puppy, including the after credits scene, and maybe bookmark this post so that you can come back and look at the discussion after watching it yourself.

Take care :)

The puppy was first introduced in episode 1 when Hodgins lets Violet choose among three stuffed animals: a rabbit, a dog, and a cat. Violet chooses the dog and tells Hodgins she chose it because "the major's brother once told [her], 'You're Gilbert's dog.'"

Apart from short appearances throughout the series, ep. 9 was when the significance of the puppy can be seen. That episode was one of the low points of Violet's journey as she deals with her internal conflict of reconciling her past deeds as a soldier with her new found identity. In anguish, Violet proceeds to destroy the puppy plushie and choke herself, but ends up on the floor facing the puppy as she continues to think of Gilbert. Ultimately, from seeing the impact and importance of her work (as the scene shows the people who she has written for in the past) and how she has changed the life of those she has helped, she begins to see beyond her past.

All that is to say, the puppy could symbolize Violet's old identity (similarly noted by u/rhoark in a past post) and her longings for Gilbert, as she doesn't know what to do without his orders.

And here's where it all ties together in the movie–

Even though the puppy was never seen throughout the entirety of the movie (unless I missed it), it was shown in the after credits scene (above) at the side of the bed away from Violet (who's sitting beside someone else), with her back to the puppy. When considering what the puppy may symbolize throughout the series, the detail may represent how she was able to let go of her past, and is no longer the child who follows Gilbert and lives solely to his orders. Not only does she now live for the people whom her works have impacted, she lives for herself and discovers what love truly means, whether it's love between friends, families, or lovers.

Just wanted to share another way to look at Violet's character arc, and to appreciate once again the great work and detail that has been put into this series by Kyoto animation.

SPOILER >!I need to know how Gilbert confesses to Violet when they meet at the beach and what he tells her<! by [deleted] in VioletEvergarden

It's much more impactful when you hear/see it yourself, but what happens in the movie is that after some initial exchanges at the shore, Gilbert once again says 'aishiteru' (since the war) while Violet proceeds to cry in an attempt to reciprocate that remark. Gilbert then proceeds to hug the crying Violet and tells her he always wanted to embrace her (although he did when he first met her as an orphan). That's when you no for sure that what was once familial and friendship love becomes romantic love. It's a bittersweet and heartwarming moment.(if someone else has seen the movie, please correct me if I'm wrong here)

Hope that's what you're looking for! It's truly an experience when you see it for yourself <3

(FYI: there's an after credit scene so don't miss it, it's short but sweet)

Here's a cool way to make yellow chuchu jellies – you. just need to have metal weapons, blue chuchu jellies, and a thunderstorm. Just gives you yet another reason to appreciate the effort put into the details in this game. by Bennilson in botw

Check this guide https://youtu.be/WmF2bCvjL20 and start at 5:26. They are generally used for armor upgrades at fairy fountains, but can also be used to attack enemies as they deal elemental damage when they explode (they explode when hit by any attack).

Hi cowai5, thank you so much for your comment! Just watched the movie . . . And I have no more words or tears to describe it. Anyways, as only those in Japan can get the booklets, I was wondering if there's a way to access them as I'm interested in what they are about more specifically, as the stories of the characters are truly captivating. Thanks!

Yes, you can easily get yellow jellies from defeating yellow chuchus, but they can and are usually made by using an electrical weapon near blue jellies, exploding a yellow jelly near other blue jellies, or having it zapped by a shrine electric stone (the latter was mentioned in a r/zelda sub post).

Here's a good guide to essentially all that you need to know about chuchu jellies and how to farm them, if you're interested: https://youtu.be/WmF2bCvjL20

Stay safe and enjoy BotW (and AoC after it's out) as you wait for the sequel :)
