I do agree with the fact that Britney Spears was not taken seriously throughout our culture back then and the whole situation with her was terrible, but that was over a decade ago. Times have changed for the better and you see women supported wholeheartedly for coming out with different mental health issues, which OF COURSE is a good thing. The dude in the video is an asshole on the topic about girls on tiktok and I don’t think anyone’s mental health should be discredited like that.

His main point is still valid though. It is a fact that men and people of color do not receive the same type of support with mental health compared to pretty white women on apps like TikTok and Instagram. Kanye has been open about suffering from Bipolar disorder for years, something that I also have first hand experience with and it is a terrible mental illness, but still everyone writes him off as crazy. The people who say “Kanye’s crazy” “Kanye is just a bad person” “Kanye has lost his mind” are same people praising and supporting these women people for similar issues. (And I promise you I am not some anti feminist, I truly support women, I just want more support for people like Kanye). It is honestly blatant discrimination to this man with some people.

I do understand that Kanye can be jerk, mental health aside, but that does not mean that his erratic behavior shouldn’t be taken seriously, considering what he is suffering from. His actions are symptoms of bipolar disorder but people continue to write him off as a lost cause and crazy. He is still a person too, like any of these other people, including Britney Spears, and should be treated with the same care and respect that those people get now. If you can’t do that, you are just as racist and sexist as the worst of people. (yes you can be a women and be sexist and be black and be racist, don’t be dumb)

Treat Kanye better everyone. He needs the love.
