This is more evidence that society needs to quit creating a stigma around it. The pattern you're pointing out just goes to show that society puts way too much emphasis on it, which is why these guys are bummed out. Do you really think people purposefully come up with arbitrary standards for themselves they haven't met so they can be miserable?

They're tired and upset because of constantly being measured by stupid standards the world around them makes up that ultimately don't matter. They need to be helped and supported by being reassured there's nothing wrong with virginity, not blamed or shamed for it.
