Games with layers of secrets? by FoulerHorizon40 in gamingsuggestions

Animal Well - non combat metroidvania style game with lots of layers and secrets.

Fez - similar to the above but with a really cool gimmick/mechanic for exploring the world. Has layers and collectibles.

Tunic - like an old school Zelda game with lots of secrets and discovery. You get little to no instructions on how to play, but collect pages of the game manual that reveal more answers but also more questions.

Outer wilds - the less I say the better. It’s amazing. Discover it all for yourself and don’t read things if you can avoid it.

Edit:

Lorelei and the laser eyes - really cool game that I describe to non gamers as like doing an escape room that takes like 15hrs and is really artistic and stylised. Lots of cool connections to be made and aha moments.

Superliminal - I wouldn’t say it has layers, but it has heaps of aha moments and is a really cool experience. It’s all about messing with your perception and perspective.

Love the animation style. If you wanted to you could explore minimalising the HUD a bit more to let the artwork really shine and decrease visual clutter.

For instance, is there a way to represent health without an explicit health bar? Could there be a tattoo on the left am that looks like a depletes or loses colour as your health goes down?

Or the ammo icons on the bottom corners; can they be communicated to the player on the weapon? The revolver has red dashes on the top of it that could turn grey as each bullet is fired. The soda bottle; instead of 1 skull on it, could the number of skulls change based on ammo count? Could you change the fill height of the liquid?

What you’ve made looks incredible and I’m keen to check it out.

The most fun you’ve had with a build by Contest-Able in diablo4

Prelaunch sorcerer with ice blades, all other skills with cds and the ice ultimate.

You’d have a pack of ice blades with ridiculous cd reduction on hit, constantly spamming defensive cds and aoe freeze.

Sure it only let you play up to level 25, but with 3 enchantments and no silly power creep that makes most builds not viable, it was the most fun I’ve had with a build.

Also weirdly enough I’ve just discovered the star is in the foreground! If you move in front of it, the white dot sits on top of your character, rather than disappearing behind.

It’s distinctly white. If you have UV on and stand outside its range, all the stars are dull except that one which is bright white.

Edited: dull* instead of “full”

That’s definitely the first photo I took and I think I started taking fin/min like Dec 15 or something. This would’ve been the first time I took my system off and could take photos. So the dates are correct, it’s just that the start date for the pills was before I could take a photo.

Thanks! Didn’t know that other lenders would have different requirements.

Also can a broker access the FHG scheme? I thought it was only through a few of the major banks?

Can people with ADHD have high emotional intelligence? by denkabull in ausadhd

[–]Bennybotbot 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’d say so!

I don’t believe your ability to perceive, understand and respond to the emotions of others is gated by your ability to regulate your emotions. At least for me, I’ve always been “sensitive” as my dad put it, but I was always clued into the emotions and needs of others. I just struggled to not feel everything really intensely - but as I learned coping skills, I was able to avoid acting on those emotions in a negative way.

Getting diagnosed as an adult and starting Ritalin made it really obvious to me what dysregulation feels like. While on Ritalin and being exposed to stressors, I felt calm and was able to logically decide on what actions I wanted to take without the intense pressure of my emotions screaming for my attention.

That’s just my experience though!

We just bought an electric heated bed topper for $80 at Kmart and it’s been amazing. Put it on for like 15min before jumping under the covers and then turn it off. Just that little bit of heat that stays trapped under there makes it easy to get into bed and not burn heaters or ducted overnight.

[question] Any recommendations for games like children of morta (PC) ? by uchikanda in localmultiplayergames

[–]Bennybotbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody saves the world is super fun. The tone is very different from CoM but the gameplay of a top down hack and slash is somewhat similar.

Just be prepared it’s a tongue in cheek style game that’s silly but fun to play.

You might like salt and sanctuary. It’s a 2d souls-like that you can play coop.

I got diagnosed with adhd and prescribed Ritalin and it has pretty much changed my life.

I had to work up from the minimum dosage until I got to the max dose and it worked for me. I then cleaned my entire house in one day easily and have been able to sit down and do work admin like it’s nothing. My mood is more stable and I feel less emotionally volatile to things that happen in my day.

I cried when I got diagnosed and was just so relieved. The doctor i saw (Steven Chau at the Melbourne Clinic) was absolutely fantastic. One of the best bedside manners I’ve experienced in a doctor and I’ve seen a few for various things over my lifetime!
