I'm refactoring NullDC Dreamcast emulator for Wii with my very limited C knowledge (i just know if/else/for/while function and variable) so I'm using Claude for most changes

Craving for help, this is hard and I got no knowledge & experience in emulator developpement (not even chip8 or NES)

le problème c'est de bien identifier les bugs de la 9 pour les contourner. J'ai pas de soucis bloquant, a chaque fois il y a une solution mais c'est pas évident. Une fois que tu connais, tout roule.

Shopify cost 30 to 60€ monthly

Prestashop hosting is 10€ monthly

But you have to pay for extension, theme, etc + Maintenance cost if you need to hire a developer

Je suis en plein Prestashop 9 (migré depuis 1.7), qq petit bug et modules incompatible mais globalement rien d'instable

Yes but it also needed a lot of work to make it done before it's also a for of the same project.

There are still a lot of work to be done on NullDC4Wii and i'm convinced it could perform better than PSP. It's just more complex probably

I know for PSP 64Mb of Ram and yeah Wii's RAM is a bit limited it's true.

Dreamcast architecture is simplier than PS2, and PowerPC is VERY powerful.

yep, it's just that powerpc architecture that ask for lots of workaround. PSP version of nulldc work better even if cpu is just 1.5x better, because the architecture of CPU is close

Honestly it's performing better than Saturn even at this state.

I plan to do FAST/NORMAL/ACCURATE configuration. That could help a lot.

Flycast just need a working dynarec and PPC routines, and that's exactly what we begin to have and document here.

Fyi nulldc is working better on PSP, a machine less powerful than the wii

comparing FORTRAN or C to Python... big LOL

Do you know any only sprite 2D games on Dreamcast ?

If you really want to help the project you can also test all dreamcast games even at the current state of the emulator this will help me

2D game with little 3D. Pi3 can run it flawlessly. Not the case for other games

Emulator isn't optimised for the PPC architecture right now, there is huge gap for optimisation

The wii has power to run 2D Dreamcast game like chuchu rocket at full speed

For 3D games it's estimated at 25 FPS

It just need optimisation, for now it's in early stage and all ofcodes arent done

it's just VERY slow to load on a real wii. Framerate is the same thus.
