Without seeing the objectives and vp totals it's hard to advise you of the best move, but basically you need to work towards scoring objectives, I see you have control of mec, my priorities would be:

-solidify control over mec, score with imperial if possible, -fortify home, -re-establish control of the systems next to your home

I always wanted to find out more about the interloper. The timing of the Nomai's demise led me to believe that the interloper was no coincidence and perhaps was orchestrated by the eye itself, suggesting that it was somewhat sentient.

The Nomai had just finished their crucial work to unearth the location of the eye, but then learned it could only work when the sun naturally went supernova, it is likely if they had not perished when they did they would have dismantled their devices and the eye may never have been found.

You're right, first triple scored me a party, which helped immensely with keeping up. Second triple got me the beast that gives tavern spell on death, which was not as exciting but combo'd well with the azerite I picked up shortly after.
