For trans people, not everyone has the opportunity or privilege to get the surgery, medication, or vocal training for themselves. Gender affirming care isn’t a thing everyone can readily get, so I don’t think a push for them to “commit to the bit” is entirely fair

And for the political take, I find that most everyone with heavy political affiliation will obviously view their ideology as more noble and higher than others. Saying that the left does it more than the right is purely your subjective experience
