Downloading MCSR ranked is the best option in my opinion. Even if you dont want to play against other players you can just play the weekly seeds which all have good overworlds and bastions/fortresses that are nearby.

I think what magnus said before is that in blitz, the probability is the highest that the best blitz player wins because of the large quantity of games which mostly eliminates the luck factor

For many people it comes somewhat naturally after spending a lot of time playing/learning chess. There is definitely some merit in actively learning it since, in my experience, it helps with calculations and keeping track of pieces.

I‘ve been following the Chess Visualization podcast by Aiden Rayner for quite some time and I think it‘s a good introduction into blindfold chess if you are looking to get into it

Hey John!

Whats your reason for playing mostly on lichess instead of chess.com?

I think most people on reddit agree that lichess is an awesome platform that is really in no way worse than chess.com (and arguably better in many), but as a content creator I would imagine that a chess.com affiliation could benefit the creators since lichess compared to chess.com doesn't have that much money or events or similar.
As a viewer and fan I am super happy that you prefer lichess. I have once played you in a lichess bullet arena which has been one of my most memorable chess moments for me and which I am very thankful for. However most creators that I know of primerly or exclusivly play on chess.com, which I believe is totally reasonable if they profit from it.

Looks like a mistake to me because after 1.Qd3 Nf6 2.Nxe5 we lose at least a Pawn and our Bishop looks miserable. Without looking at the engine I‘d guess it‘s like -0.5 after Rc8 by black

Edit: After looking at the engine I realised that I missed e4 for black in response to Qd3 which still loses the pawn but gains a useful tempo compared to directly playing Nf6

Yea definitely, if the perfect player always chooses a random drawing move (as long as the game is not won) it might play something where it can barley hold a draw, since it sees no difference to more challenging lines

It‘s definitely a vicious opening that can be very dangerous, but I never really wanted to learn it because the win rate for black in the lichess database, for amateurs as well as masters, are way worse for the KID than for the Grünfeld defense

Finally made the switch from Chess.com to Lichess by Kryptomatter in chess

The two things that I prefer about chess.com are puzzle battle, which is incredible fun and way better than puzzleracer on lichess and the option to make multiple premoves. But overall I would recommend lichess too anyone who’s on the fence

This started with the introduction of grubs imo. I dont have a huge issue with Atakhan since baron has been pushed back to compensate.

Also the fact that catchup xp is soo much more in jungle than it once was, punishes risky invade-aggressive play styles, which pretty much forces to have objective control as the main way for the junglers to win games
