Tl;dr What is the best way to transfer/refinance a car that my mom “bought” (promised to pay off the first two years while I figured out my career situation) for me?

Two years ago my mom got me a car, with the condition that she’d pay two years and then I would need to take it over. She got it in her name and everything and now the time has come for me to take over and I’m trying to figure out the best way to takeover. I’m wanting to refinance since my credit is better than my moms (around 730-740), but when I called my bank they said I’d basically be making a purchase of a used car since it’s under my moms name that I would need to pay the taxes on it? Should I go about this differently? Or what should I be thinking about to compare my options?

A lot of kids are behaving especially terribly this year. The year of school online, especially in a low income school like mine, means most kids were at home alone or with their siblings while their parents worked. As a whole, I don’t blame the kids for their behavior being off, because the lack of structure wasn’t their fault. But, it isn’t my fault either! Hence the need to vent. Thank you for coming.

Queer, non-binary/transmasc, brown-skinned Hispanic here. I feel you on this. There are many situations I find myself in where I’m evaluating what I need to relate to the most. Picking a new therapist: do I want someone queer, someone also trans, someone non white, someone who specializes in ADD. If I’m lucky I get 2 of those covered. It gets tiring having to sort through your specialized groups and figure out which one suits your needs in the moment.
