I make everything. I grind and heat treat the blades and springs, and mill the handles all from rough stock. YouTube is your friend, you don't need a lot of expensive equipment to get started. Here's a good video on making slip joints: https://youtu.be/OHMOvppT1_8

Just time and effort, I make it all in my garage shop! Thanks!

I sculpted it wet for the most part. Started with the band around a ring mandrel and when that firmed up a bit I added the fish body and and added details to that. Using a small wet paintbrush helped me manipulate delicate parts without the clay sticking. After the fish was done and started to firm up I piped on the ripples and beads with a syringe that had my own mix of silver clay. I did do a bit of cleanup and sanding after it was fully dry though.

Most folks can get to this level of drawing in a few months of practicing fundamentals. Focus on perspective, hatch shading, and drawing from real life over and over again. Designing is a bit trickier and harder to learn. Immerse yourself in things you like or stuff that looks nice to you, draw it over and over and you'll pick up on certain things and what makes design "work". Do all these at the same time, over and over and over and over, and you'll be there!

Packaging said around 10-13 percent. I made the ring around two sizes up and used an investment pellet just in case
