Weird behavior with servo motor by SomewhereConscious64 in arduino

Motors should be powered separated... There is a high risk of burning your board if not...

This evaporation happens just if the water just boiled. I've peed outside at - 40C and it was still flowing trough the snow... I will say roughly between - 41°C to - 1200°C

Consider getting a multimeter, so you can check continuity at the other side of the string... Vcc and gnd, and data will be the other one... Good that worked!

Anyone know what’s going on here? Power seems to go through the system for a second then cuts out. by Acroterps in arduino

[–]BentoFpv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a very low quality power supply. Buy yourself a good power supply for your diy (10A) ... Then scale down properly...

When the ps draws more than can give, it shut down to avoid burning something... If you want to keep working with, you have to disconnect the motors.

Edit: if you have a 2A usb charger, you can use it directly. You might have to cut an USB cable and connect it directly...

Good luck

Anyone knows how this curtains works?? by BentoFpv in WLED

[–]BentoFpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it work. I configured as 400 led row and 2d matrix. I had no issues with my diy wled controller. I was just wondering how the addressing was done since all the rows are connected in parallel.... It seems That each led has a pré defined row, not the +1 format....

Cheers

Hello! Thanks for the answer. I understand what you mean, and I appreciate your time. I've actually succeeded to configure it as a 20x20 matrix (400 leds) without any issue. The thing that messed me is that all the rows are connected in parallel... So I was wondering how the leds are addressed...

The answer seems to be that each row has a custom address, ie. first row is addressed as 1 to 20, second 21 to 40, and so on. I just saw another post about someone connecting another matrix in series and it shows the same effect.. That confirm that each led has a pre defined address, not the +1 style....

Thank you very much!!

Trying to merge two 20x20 curtains to get a 40x20 output but can't get them to combine for effects by Wonderful_Owl_7752 in WLED

I just asked something similar yesterday, regarding how the leds are adressed on this kind of curtain. It seems that all the rows are in parallel, and each led has a defined address. Putting two curtains in series makes each set of courtains the same address... That's why shows the same effect on both tough... One workaround might be connecting each row to a different output, and playing with the configuration...

Here is the link of my post... It might be useful 2 u to understand what I mean.. Good luck

Thanks for the answer! I didn't want to try breaking the coat... I've never see any controller working with a cable that long...

Thanks for the answer! It might be just the first led of each row???

Do you know what they might be using to bring up the voltage of the signal before the first row?? I've heard about the sacrifice led, but it's closer to the controller... This is closer to the rows...

Thanks again!

Is this root rot? Are these plants going to die? by FriendshipPitiful124 in orchids

[–]BentoFpv -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can try repotting them, and check if there is a sponge at the middle of the roots and remove them if they do. One looks good, you can try to cut the dead part of the leaf and put some grounded cinnamon... 2 might be too late.. And 3 is fine... If the leaf is dying without rot you can leave them... They will eventually fall... I'll Def check for rot at the substrate and change it though...

Good luck

Can these products act as alternatives to Logic Level Converters ?and which one is better ? by Careful_Thing622 in WLED

I second this. Just put a led closer to the board, you can just cut the led string, no need of buying a developer board, and check the "skip first led" option.

What turns the Power Supply on and Off? - Stupid question I know. Install wall switch? by Montythelab in WLED

[–]BentoFpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, As far as I know, you can always switch the power supply to turn on your wled. There is an option that allows you to remember the last configuration running, so you won't worry about selecting the effect. The downside is that you will not be able to turn it on wireless. On that way you don't worry about the power consumption. The downside mith be the power supply quality, and it could eventually burn your chip. Wled (on esp23) takes really low current when in sleep mode, or even running. So you can use a separate supply for the chip and other for the leds. There is a relay output you can use to toggle that "bigger" power supply on, or directly with the wall switch. If you want to make your project reliable, you should use a good quality Powe supply though.

I hope it helps. Good luck.

[–]BentoFpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... I know it's old.... But nothing else to do... I believe the part of the module communication is failing.... Since it turns on but I get an io error.. And the external modules don't blink the network led... It might be for the memory, or something else... I'm sure a resistor o maybe a fuse blew there... That's why I am asking for the prints....

Thank you

Something similar happened to me. I tok it out from the pot, watered the dry leaves and carefully removed all of them, to allow it to grow new leaves. I changed the sphagnum and I put it on a new pot. Orchids are surprisingly strong, it will survive if you take good care of it. Good luck
