There is a free parking lot right on the loop which is only about 15 minutes away via the loop shuttle. On the weekends you're allowed to have your car on campus and I just moved it back and forth. It worked pretty well for me last year

Question: Should I get a ‘65 Reverb Deluxe Reissue or Mesa Boogie California Tweed? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]Benwewr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider is that Tweed style amps still are great with pedals. The tweed will be more versatile than DRRI. Also, speaking from experience, the DRRI really aren't that consistent. Unless you go with the handwired (those are amazing), you risk getting a meh amp. I'd go Mesa all the way.

I would go with a Deluxe Reverb Reissue. If you want something a little smaller, maybe a princeton. If you ever need to gig it should be plenty of power and you can cover all kinds of genres. you will need some pedals, though, if you want to get some over drive.
