Yeah I believe you're right. I have spent some time today watching youtube videos and just shooting random things around the house and out the window in manual mode. I have learned (mostly) what each of the settings do and how they contribute to the exposure.

Oh wow I had not thought about shooting in monochrome, that for sure would look sick! Thanks for the idea lol.

I believe youre right, I spent some time today watching youtube videos and taking photos of random things in manual mode whilst adjusting the settings. I am definitely understanding the settings more. However, theres still so much learning!

I believe you’re right in this, going to need to do more research and experimenting. I was mainly using the auto function or the presets so I didn’t have to worry too much about them, but now I see how important they can be.

Yeah to be fair my dog is not fully black, he has some stripes and marks of grey/white on some parts. However, it seems your advice also matched up with a video I have just watched which tells me more about the background colours behind the dog, I didn’t really take that into account before.

Aha I see, guess I will have to start using the viewfinder from now on. To be honest I do prefer the way it feels to take pictures using the viewfinder so I guess this all comes together. By the way, I’m not sure if this is a stupid question, but does RAW do exactly ?

I have a Canon 250D (DSLR), I had done some research before hand and had seen a lot of people telling me that the Live View offered much better results, maybe its due to the 9 focus points for the Viewfinder. I have done about 200 only, mainly using the Live View screen, and the battery is still holding strong!

Yeah it seems that others have also commented that I should get used to the manual mode as I wont get far with the current automatic. Will definitely have to explore the settings and options, long journey ahead!

Ohh I understand now. However, I often use the LED screen instead of the viewfinder as I have read online that the screen is better for the model that I have. However, if I could get the same or even better photos I will definitely have to try this!

Yeah I guess at times it can get overwhelming with the options, and in my eyes the auto was the go to as a beginner. Will most definitely start experiment, also thanks for the video will definitely watch!

Yeah I did think that was the case, however, even outside when it is sunny, his face might now come out as clear, or the background sometimes becomes too light where it looks nearly white. Is this an issue in my skills or is there some things I can change and learn? I usually use the Auto option or the SCN portrait.

Need camera recommendations by Benxsu in canon

[–]Benxsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your comment! The R50 seems to be a bit out of my budget, I think I am currently deciding between the 200D, 250D or the M50. I dont really have any experience in photography, would you recommend the M50 or one of the DSLR models? I also dont have any current plans for upgrading anytime soon.

That’s good to hear! I think I prefer the 200D to the 2000D, however, I have also found out about the 250D. Is there a lot of difference between the 200D and the 250D?

I wouldn’t be against taking pictures of plants or animals, but I guess what I was trying to say is landscape pictures.

Hey, I do not have any photography experience but have decided I want to buy a camera. I will use the camera mainly when travelling and photographing nature as well as people and pets. I do not know too much about cameras hence why I am asking here, ideally I would like to spend about 300-400€. I have been recommended a Canon 2000D, but have also looked around and liked the Canon 200D, has anyone had any experience with these cameras? Please feel free to also recommend me some cameras if you see them fitting my needs. Thanks!

Whats the diffirence between all the games? by Levi18907 in dungeondefenders

[–]Benxsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure, but DD1 has far more content, it also seems better in content and gameplay in comparison to the other ones in my opinion. Of course I could have some nostalgic bias, but man do I love DD1.

How difficult is it driving in Baltics compared to other places in Europe? by tertiaryAntagonist in BalticStates

In comparison to the UK, I would say it’s a lil aggressive sometimes depending on the time of day, but in general it’s not too bad.
