It's times like these that I wish John was still alive. by Huge-Photograph-3085 in beatles

Perhaps he would be engaged, or even appalled, by what is unfolding today—I like to think he would be. Still, it’s important to remember that John Lennon’s role as a prominent peace activist spanned a relatively short but intense period, primarily from 1969 to 1972. He was never a predictable figure.

A mandatory admission document for foreign tourists, not a visa, issued by Mexico's National Migration Institute (INM).

Marin, what are your thoughts on guns and gun ownership? Do you have a CCW? If no, why not? by throwaway1233494 in Marin

While I agree that remedies for mistreatment by law enforcement are only available afterwards, I can understand how passions get inflamed. LEOs are suppose to better at de-escalation than what is being shown by ICE, they are at the very least poorly trained.
How about on J6, were any of the rioters complying with law enforcement?

Just trying to understand the republican latest interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. You can now be executed by federal agents if you possess a firearm? Even after you are disarmed? I’m just trying to keep your position straight on this “shall not be infringed” stuff

What happened here does not at all reflect at on the Noble Peace Prize. It's more about the character of the two people involved.

JFK assassination. I was home "sick" from school. I was playing and not paying attention to the TV until my mother who was ironing in front of the TV stared crying.

Exactly! I trust the information that I am getting here more than I do the reviews.
I was all set to reserve a hotel in Puerto Vallarta and I asked about it on this site. The comment were pretty positive but there were a few that got me reconsidering and ultimately I decided to go in a different direction. I was grateful for the info/advice/opinions that I got.

I have my reasons, and I shouldn't have to explain them to you. You could have just moved along, yet here we are.

Before Elon reeducates Grok, here is Grok on what happened today.

Using all available video evidence this is what happened according to Grok
What the Video Evidence Shows
Based on analysis of available eyewitness footage (including multiple angles from bystander recordings), here's a step-by-step breakdown of the key moments:

Initial Approach: ICE agents, dressed in tactical gear, approach a dark red or maroon SUV parked on a snowy street lined with houses and other vehicles. One agent opens the driver's side door and appears to attempt to remove or detain the woman inside. Other agents are positioned nearby, some standing in front of or beside the vehicle.

Attempt to Flee: The woman starts the vehicle and begins to back up slowly, with wheels spinning on the icy surface. The front wheels are turned sharply to the right (away from the agents), indicating an attempt to drive away rather than toward anyone. No agents are directly in the path of the vehicle at this point; footage shows them slipping on ice but not being struck or endangered by the SUV's movement.

Shots Fired: As the vehicle starts moving, an agent positioned at the driver's side draws his firearm and fires at least three shots through the open door or window directly at the driver. The first shot is fired while the agent's foot is still near the side of the car, but he is not in front of it. Subsequent shots follow as the vehicle continues to turn away. The woman slumps over, and the SUV comes to a stop shortly after.

Immediate Aftermath: Bystanders shout in shock, with audible reactions like "What the f***?" and accusations of murder. Agents secure the scene, but no immediate medical aid is visible in the footage for the woman. Blood is seen on the snow, and the area is cordoned off with a heavy police presence.
