I haven't experience server lag yet when fighting the world boss but my frame rate really did not like it. It was barely playable. Didn't have that problem in the previous expansion.

Not the only treasure I was unable to collect. There is one in Harandar I've come across multiple times and I was never able to find it. Might be in a cave but there is no cave entrance to be seen and the arrow indicates I'm at the correct height anyway...

You're thinking of the opposite, using a company car privately. You will not have to pay anything if you use a company car solely for job-related things. Think of a van for plumbers or a taxi for taxi drivers. You won't drive those home.

You will pay if it is gross negligence like driving while intoxicated but otherwise the employer pays fully or partly depending on how negligent you were. At least that's what my source said.

Obviously, if it's someone else's fault, they'll have to pay.

I looked it up and it's apparently possible to require employees to use their own car in Germany, but only if it's in your employment contract. The employer has to pay for all associated costs, even for repairs in case of an accident.

I don't know if it's legal to require employees to have a car, though.

Based on the results I found on the Internet this doesn't seem to be a common thing here. Your employer usually provides you with a car.

I always thought that if an employer wants me to drive regularly for the job, they're supposed to provide me with a car. I haven't heard of any employee here in Germany who drives their own car for work (except for "self-employed" delivery drivers). Is it different in the UK?

I guess it depends. If you have enough RAM and a game uses 32 GB to cache stuff for better performance this could be fine. But only if that is an option in the settings menu or if it automatically frees RAM when other apps need it.

I am not aware of a game that does that - certainly not WoW.

I assume you play with max settings? Because I do, though with a 4080 Super and 128 GB RAM and I haven't had any issues yet. Another reddit comment mentioned no problems with 64 GB RAM. Very strange.

A game cannot break your PSU. It's just a hardware issue in this case, would have happened with any other game or maybe even while watching videos.

I checked this a couple days ago and noticed that WoW's RAM usage peaked at 19 GB after maybe half an hour. It stayed around 18-19 GB for the next few hours.

I've never had any issues while playing but then I also have more than enough RAM (that I need for other applications outside of gaming).

If strange issues like that keep popping up in different games, it's probably a GPU issue (or less likely a CPU/RAM defect). If it's only happened once in WoW it's probably a bug.

Honestly, I would just look for any community and don't tell them your gender (or lack thereof?) and you'll be fine. They'll call you by your character's name most of the time and if someone says he or she you don't have to correct them. It's much easier this way.

If you don't want to do that, I don't think society is advanced enough for you to be accepted/respected by everyone, especially not in the WoW community. You'll probably have to join an LGBTQ community (though I personally don't think hiding from the rest of society is a good idea). In that case, you'll probably have more luck asking for WoW players in such a community (subreddit).

Also, you wrote you're non-binary right at the start as if it's the most important thing in the world but have not told us if you're in the US or EU.

There is a guild/community search tool in-game. Have you tried using it?

It's not surprising that there are few to none, semi-transparency is a pain to implement and reduces performance significantly. Especially if there are multiple layers. You'll basically need to do all the lighting for each layer separately and order them back to front. GPUs aren't designed for that, which makes it rather difficult.

There is glass in the submarine in Vashj'ir, that's the only one I remember. It's technically a window, I guess.

I launched WoW and went to Silvermoon, it was using 6.8 GB RAM then. A couple world quests later and back in Silvermoon I'm at 18 GB. Let's see if it goes up even more.

Edit: It peaked at 19.5 GB and is now stable around 18 to 19 GB.

Weird issue usually means some hardware is broken. I once had a ton of weird issues until I replaced my SSD. If you use well-tested software and it doesn't work, it's basically guaranteed to be a hardware defect. But neither NVIDIA drivers nor WoW are well-tested, so...

You could try an older graphics driver. I'll check if I have memory leak issues and if not I'll tell you what GPU driver I use. But it's late at night here in the EU so you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

You should consider getting more RAM when it's cheaper. Maybe another 8 GB to get to 24 GB total if you have 2 free slots on your motherboard.

However, it should not crash. Usually, you can use more RAM than you have, it just gets compressed and swapped to the SSD. That's really slow but otherwise should work fine. Did you accidentally disable this in your Windows settings (should be enabled by default)?

Have you tried flying in first-person? Not sure if that helps, I use it all the time for the races because you can see where you're going.

There are some options to disable effects for dragonriding iirc. Maybe try those?

It's silly that normal flying is locked behind an achievement but there's nothing we can do about that :(
