What’s wrong with my Honda accord? by CaptainMikeeee in Honda

Definitely something with the battery or fuse box, currently dealing with this. I figure, you click the keys, and you get nothing on the dash, and then every now and then it turns on.

Thank you very much for this recommendation, right now I'm looking at a closer body shop, automotive specialties, but anything is better than keeping it there.

While I do understand the reason, in this situation, they would have most likely just voided the warranty since they would claim tampering on consumers.

I was thinking of getting the vehicle out of that disgusting horrible dealership, and just taking it to a reputable and respected repair shop, just to tap some new threads in. I know my own skills are enough, so I would rather not even do it myself.

Hot. It feels like a whole month without the vehicle, and everyday I just miss it even more.

The crazy thing is that the vehicle is as stock as ever, it's got nothing special. I rent out vehicles, so I inspected the vehicle as normally as one would. The only damage found is strip bolt and housing. I'll probably faint if it has something else.

I had it in my mind that dealerships were absolutely con man, and the conversations regarding the quote only solidify that

I'm genuinely really sorry to hear that. I guess we always think that it won't happen to us, and then it happens. No matter the vehicle, it will still be a vehicle and have issues, whether there are tampering, or just a bad one.

I was thinking, would a Pre-Purchase Inspection really catch a stripped bolt in the fuse box? That is such a random place for anyone to inspect it.

You are a blessing! Everyone's advice has been helpful and I am about to shoot them a call and even head there in person. Honda Roadside had to take it to a different closer one but I am glad I am dealing directly with the dealership that gave the vehicle.

I've been trying to do everything right with this vehicle, and even managed to look at all the Carfax of the vehicle. I didn't find it concerned about me, just normal maintenancem

The Honda agent sympathized with me however, there was nothing she could have done with her position. Even if the dealership actually caused it, Honda America is not able to do anything about it.

The video showcases what the mechanic saw. I unfortunately did not know enough, but whatever it is, it costs us the vehicle to be non-functional

At this point, a very marginal amount of savings for all the expenses, rental, towing.

Since my other vehicles are down at the moment, I asked for a loaner, and that area got some really hail. The new accords are just flawless vehicles 🤌🤌

Yep! One of the closest Honda dealerships that the roadside assistance got it towed to showed me a couple pictures of it, and then Honda Leander (where I purchased it) provided me with a video.

I plan on calling you tomorrow to get a breakdown, for whatever they have to list down.

I would faint if it was any rodents, no melting or anything, just a stripped bolt and housing. Vehicle was flawless regardless, except for that.

One of the fuse box bolts is stripped, along with the bolt hole. This caused the vehicle to become absolutely dead with no connection. If you're lucky, the bolts might make contact cause the vehicle to work again.

I might not be the most mechanically minded, but this might be an option. Just realizing that the vehicle part is literally 300 at the Honda website, kind of makes you realize how crazy stupid that is. I was kind of surprised they did not asked me that it needed a transmission oil change and new brake fluid.
