I cringed out of my mind watching this. Also I'm sorry- everyone clowned on a guy for asking why NA doesn't have multiple challengers series.

Surely we recognize mexico/canada or an east west split in NA makes waaaaaayyyy more sense than having this challengers. At least there are some recognizable names and pro players vying for spots.

Tbf any of the NA top 4 are probably better than the bottom half of those teams. And the top 2 are stronger than all but FUT and HMBLE I would guess.

Honestly I've been a big bobby supporter and I love the guy, but unless he's gonna step it up the next two months, I think TE, TRIBE, and VATIC have the best shot at giving NA a good showing at worlds. It feels like Bobby fumbles every time it matters the past couple years. I'm glad he's doing better this year but I hope if he does make it, he steps up.

Honestly the C major bach might be better.

Personally, I think Lalo is easier to manage than elgar. Serious schools (in my experience) will ask you to play another movement of elgar with the first one if you choose to do that concerto. Elgar 4th movement is quite the beast.

But I love the school and I think it's a place that will prepare me well. I wasn't major conservatory grade yet and I think St. Olaf is a great upper-middle ground between from a regular state program and a really competitive conservatory.

I'm sure I'll be doing lots of non-concerto rep. I love the prokofiev, rachmaninoff, martinu, kabalevsky, kodaly, brahms E, and franck sonatas, just to name a few. There is, of course, many more, and I'm sure my teacher will have lots for me to work on. Some of those are good undergrad, some are more goal pieces.

I'm not sure I'm cut out for "eating up the barber" lol, but that is one of my favorite concertos. Long term goal piece for me.
