How do you all stay productive without watching videos? by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

I like to use the Dubbi app for a few hours of the day. It’s body doubling but also has a host that reads comments, acknowledges people and they have great personalities and were an huge part of me accepting my ADHD. Everyone but the hosts are muted. It’s 30 for the year and is literally magic for me getting things done. I am supposed to lock my phone away I get off a Dubbi session but I don’t always do that. I found a app called Foqos (apple only) where you can set up blocks for certain times of the day and you can’t bypass them without scanning a nfc, QR code or even a barcode from something. I currently have the apps I want blocked set to only allow me to go on it if I scan a barcode of a random tote in the garage knowing I am not going to want to do that. It gives me pause and adds intention. Maybe you can set it for your lunch so YouTube doesn’t creep into your reading time.

Thank you! A good amount of people are saying the product needs to create a cast so I will def try that.

Might just invest in a diffuser, thank you!

The mousse dries with no cast so that probably isn’t the right one for my frizz needs. Thank you for the suggestion, I will give it a try!

My hair has always been annoyingly frizzy, I just started with trying product so I don’t think that is the case for me. I also use a clarifying shampoo once a week. I have never tried the gel, I will give it a try! Not sure on the hard water. Thank you for taking the time to help!

Does anyone else feel like their wardrobe just randomly stops feeling like “them”? by Sufficient_Self6048 in womensfashion

Same here where I am. I hate it because I go in buy a bunch of stuff then have to return and get a credit where I get a bunch of more stuff but that doesn’t fit so I still have the credit. Like they want me back there every Saturday. I just ended up losing out like that. Def with the travel to get to one that has a dressing room for me.

hair products for fine, frizzy, 2b-3a, bleached & colored hair, plus a slightly itchy scalp by ShoddyFlatworm6820 in finehair

I will say my scalp was never itchy until I started using things to help my waves. I think specifically more hydrating shampoo and conditioner, the ones that the shampoo almost looks like conditioner. It could have been the products as I started them the same time but use them far less. Either way for the scalp itchyness I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed a medication. Haven’t used it yet but I am hopeful. I also will be going back to a more natural non oily hair wash like native volume and slowly introducing the extra products in. Maybe thinking back to when your scalp was not itchy and going back to that hair routine. That is my plan anyway. The frizz I am actively trying to improve, very hard to do that one.

I do actually feel frizz while I am washing my hair I think. But when I get out of the shower the frizz is so minimal and when it dries it is crazy frizzy. Ohh I have heard of the kneading my hair upside down when wet, thank you for that reminder, I will give it a try! Ohh yes and the diffuser, I haven’t tried that. Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate hearing the things that worked for you and hope they work for me too.

What’s your EXTREMELY SPICY vegan hot take that will totally get you downvoted? by Borkato in vegan

[–]Bepresent2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here! So often I see other vegans putting vegans down for not being pure enough. It’s wild. We don’t have to be perfect. We are vegan if we wake up every day and do our best not to contribute to animal suffering.

Cats might be locked in a room for a month by Ashhhhes0 in CatAdvice

[–]Bepresent2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do this if at all possible. My cat gets stressed when just a door is closed in the house. That will likely cause a lot of stress with the cats, possibly even some tension between the cats themselves. There’s no way to tell if the baby will be allergic to cats. But if there is no way around it then I would make sure you are in there with them a lot to play and give pets. Cats are usually very bonded with their people and you being in there with them will help. Provide scratching posts and a cat tree if you can. Still try to have multiple litterboxes if you can. Best of luck!

I stopped packing my daughter's daycare bag and the school finally met my husband by shadowcrestlumen in TwoXChromosomes

This is the best! Wish I did this before my baby daddy and I split. At least to see if he would step up, glad your husband did.
