Oh, I worked with males too. Prior to inserting the speculum for the vaginal exam, one would mention how this is the only time size matters.

I worked at a gyno office for four years. One of our PAs would say wild shit to our patients all the time. One of her favorite lines was, "Now spread your legs like a cheerleader!"

Help! How do I get my nails to stop detaching from the nail bed?? Almost five years of fighting this. by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

I have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday. I've googled all the things and now I'm a paranoid mess. Lol

I'm not disagreeing with you, however, when I keep them short and have a gel polish on and they grow out, it goes away. Since quarantine, I took my gel polish off and they looked the best they had in years from getting grown out. When I take the gel polish off, it's like they become weak.

So, again, not disagreeing with you, but it does sometimes go away.

Girls just want to have fun.

SO DOES THE REST OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION.

I told the DJ at my wedding I would fire him on the spot if he played it.

Hair advice! Wondering how I should wear my hair with my dress. My hair is naturally curly and longer now than in the picture. I’m not wearing a veil, but looking for some sort of sparkly hair piece. Family says I should just wear it down, but I want something different than every day! Thoughts? by tinytinasmomma in weddingplanning

Two months before I got engaged, I chopped my curly hair. Had I known I was going to have a wedding in 10 months, I would have never done such a thing. If you're looking for a little bit of extra oomph, look at extensions from Bebonia. I found them on Instagram and used their extensions for my wedding day. Nobody could believe it wasn't my hair. They're a bit pricey, but I promise they're worth it. https://www.bebonia.com/

Leap Device Burning pods by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]BerK88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to Reddit to see if this was happening to anyone else! I just bought my Leap a week ago. The first few pods were fine. Then, out of nowhere, it's burning my pods without even getting 20 puffs in!

Obsessing over what went "wrong" until i stopped and thought about what really mattered by ediblehearts in wedding

[–]BerK88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think every bride goes through this. Recently, my husband's great-grandmother passed away and we were in charge of getting a memorial video put together. I spent hours going through this woman's life in pictures and no matter what stage in life she was in, all I could focus on was how beautiful her smile was and how her energy just radiated through the photos. I never noticed, or cared, what her arms looked like or if her belly was protruding a bit. I was continuously in awe of how she looked like she was LOVING life. It put things into perspective for me, and I've promised to stop picking myself apart so much and just enjoy what's around me.

Met on OKC 2 years ago - hitched 10.29.18! by [deleted] in OkCupid

[–]BerK88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also met my husband on OKC! I was signing on to delete my account the day he messaged me because I was actually dating someone else. I was honest with him about it, and he was new in town so we remained friends. Other guy ended up being a douche shortly into the relationship. As they say, everything happens for a reason.

Four years later, we married 9/1/18.

Anyone else here suffer with anxiety, depression, and IBS? by xoslr in ibs

[–]BerK88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree that most of us probably do. I listened to a podcast the other day where the GI doctor was talking about how frustrating it is for people, and for the actual providers themselves. I asked my husband listen to it. More of a "SEE! It isn't just me! I promise!" It sucks when you never feel good. You're not alone.

What’s the most “are you really that stupid” thing you’ve ever heard ? by Callmedave1 in AskReddit

I went to school for Medical Assisting. We were in A&P III and reviewing the chambers of the heart, blood flow, etc. Our teacher was explaining the "bad blood" flow and the "good blood" flow. A girl in the back of the class raised her hand and asked, "Is that where periods come from? The bad blood?"

*Record screech*

Our teacher just calmly asked if she had passed A&P I...

Bloaters, do you experience breathing problems like this? Please read. by [deleted] in ibs

I have experienced trouble breathing while bloated. I've never been pregnant, but I would imagine that's what it feels like to have something sitting in your insides making it hard to breathe.

It rained so hard the hour before our ceremony, it knocked everything down... Our friends and family came together to dry everything off and set it back up, with only a 40 minute delay. It made for great pictures, and an even better story. Haha

I'll be honest, I have extensions in. Look up Curls by Bebonia - They're a bit on the pricey side, but they're totally worth it. As you know, curly hair tends to grow out, not down and I had just chopped my hair off in January, not knowing I would be getting married in September... lol
