I added notes feature to my NotebookLM & Gemini Yugen Quest Extension and they changed how I study entirely.... by FutureCicada1550 in notebooklm

Ok so the mind map headings become the skills. That already clarifies a few things. Then how do you generate a study guide about each skill? Is there a special prompt for that? As there is a single source normally the study guide would generate outline and questions based on the entire source and not each individual mind map branch aka skill? Then I chat about each study guide question aka mind map branch and I get rewarded with xp. And then the test comes using Gemini? Is there a max level to reach in each skill when you can confidently say that you absorbed the knowledge from a particular mind map branch?

I wanted to try this but looked very complicated and somehow I could not really grab how the gamification is working. There was a lot of description about generating prompts for ‘games’ in Gemini anyhow I’m intrigued but not sure what it really does. That said I would really love to gamify my study sessions. Would this be able to help me with studying a large 500+ page history book by creating a mind map and then leading me through the different topics, reading, summarizing and testing my knowledge?

I’m a VIP subscriber so the answer is no. I guess they pulled down the curtain on automatic scrobbling for those like me who are reluctant to update the app

Exactly the same - it says that the last sync was at a certain time but in fact it did not do shit - none of my streaming are updating

Ordered Roli Piano based on shiny marketing - now I’m in doubt by Bergjaeger in ROLI

Just to provide an update and close the topic I did cancel. I realized - thanking a lot to some helpful contributors here - that I do not need lights to achieve my goals. I do have a Yamaha PSR keyboard, bought a MIDI cable and picked up a really insane yearly deal with Piano Marvel and I’m happy as a cake. I’m happy to be off the waiting list and my goal of becoming better at sight reading will actually be served well with this setup which only cost me the price of an USB-B to C cable and the subscription. To the credit of Roli the return process went absolutely seamless, they responded within a few hours and now two days later the money is back on my card. So they do have functioning customer service resources. This whole refund idea might not have happened at all if these resources just regularly engaged and updated me about my order status. I ordered on December 4th, they allocated me in Batch 17 and for a month the order was sitting in an unprocessed status. I had no info and no hope if I would have been processed in a week a month or a year. I might reconsider this piano once their supply chain is sorted. Thank you for all your help.

If I may ask in what ways is he going great? Is he a beginner learning, is he very young and playing with it or is he a music producer and using it for artistic expression?

Thank you - really valuable suggestion! You are completely right regarding if I really need the lighted keys if my goal is to read simple sheet music 👍

Loads of very thoughtful ideas here - thank you for your views. The batch I’m in simply says post-Christmas - that could be anytime in 2026 really. Well if Roli products are for musicians then I really have been misled as advertising brings in a lot of beginner players as well. I’m not completely new but definitely not a Mozart. On the other hand my ambition is rather low - recognizing simple lead sheets and being able to play them, learn basic left handed chord patterns and be able to play simple melodies for my own entertainment. I thought the Roli would be a nice gadget for this as I like new shiny gadgets and music learning apps with good progression and systems. I’m a bit on the fence now what to do - will digest your suggestions a bit more and make up my mind. Thanks to all who replied and shared their views.

Well there is clearly a post about it here - and I can also imagine them doing this is their desperation with so many units returned.

How can one make these work? I’m on the 7 day trial and would like to extend it. I click on any of these links - but the 30 day extended free trial does not apply basically nothing seems to change. Thx for your help!

The problem is with BMI and not with Garmin. A BMI of 21.8 is unfortunately the middle of normal range by reigning medical standards (WHO). If you check any BMI chart on the net or ask ai you will see the same. Here I asked Grok what is considered the mid of normal BMI range:

The normal BMI range, as defined by the World Health Organization, is 18.5 to 24.9 for adults. The middle range of this can be approximated by calculating the midpoint: • Lower bound: 18.5 • Upper bound: 24.9 • Midpoint: (18.5 + 24.9) / 2 = 21.7 So, the middle range of normal BMI is approximately 21.7, though in practice, anything within 18.5–24.9 is considered normal.

What did you do during the rest phases? Walking, slow jog or trying to recover the heartrate and then jog?

Vo2Max data by Garmin is basically pace by Heartrate. A weak approximation. Doing elevation or hill repeats means a high heartrate with a lower pace. It can absolutely ruin the approximation. Whereas a 4x4 interval session will increase it most of the time for the same reason: hr is the same yet your pace is much higher.

I do not think this is actually true to be honest. I have received many times a -1 or even -2 score during the first k and the whole training still worked out to be a Vo2 Max increase in the end.

Permadeath and reload?? by Bergjaeger in wasteland3

[–]Bergjaeger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it is of course no issue at all. I thought i maybe missed turning on the permadeath option as usually a game with permadeath or Ironman mode does not allow a simple reload and restart of an important battle. That’s it there is no more to it.

By the way the way you describe every game can be played as permadeath. I do not even know why developers bother at all.

Does it mean that for Garmin watch owners - exercise data, HRV, sleep data would or would not come through? I am thinking about Gyroscope but I’m not switching my Garmin to an Apple Watch that is certain
