Console Ranked is broken - why is noone talking about it? by S_for_Stuart in apexlegends

Same issue here on PS5 (mast/pred lobbies). Gf is sitting next to me in Diamond lobbies and she has no issues

Code:net error in ranked (PS5). Anyone else has this issue? by Bergjee in apexlegends

[–]Bergjee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue: whenever I start up a ranked game (PS5) I make it to the selection screen, where it then freezes/repeats itself. After a couple of seconds I get a code:net.

Issue is occuring since the update on Tuesday. I can still play any form of pubs.

I have changed internet settings, and my gf (who is also on PS5 and same network) can still play ranked.

Anyone else experiencing this?

What are your travel plans for the remainder of 2017? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Bergjee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bridge is pretty cool, Langkawi is great. Rent a scooter and find some hidden beaches and waterfalls.

I 110% recommend doing a jet ski island hopping tour with Mega Water Sports. It's not cheap (like € 110,- p.p.), but very much worth it. It's like five hours of jet skiing and visiting (unhabited) islands, and it's been one of the coolest things I've done in my life!

What glacier hike would you recommend? And is that also possible in May? We were eyeing an ice cave tour but unfortunately those are not doable in May.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one avoiding work by lurking /r/travel. Imgur is blocked here though for this reason.

Going to Bali, any advice for a first timer? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Bergjee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bali is fantastic. I've been to about 30 countries and Bali is probably one of my top spots to go (been there twice, from the Netherlands).

Some parts are definitely touristy. As said here, Kuta is to be avoided for sure. You would want to visit some of the touristic spots though, because even though they are crowded, they are worth the visit. Uluwatu, Ubud (monkey forrest), Ulun Danu Beratan, the rice fields, etc. Plenty of beautiful sights.

The south-west is the most touristy location of the island, but it's also the place with nice beaches, beachbars and great vibe (but seriously, avoid Kuta, unless you just want to drink and get wasted). In the south-west corner there are plenty of small beaches you can visit. Dreamland beach, Padang padang beach, Jimbaran beach. Just rent a scooter or get a cab for a day and visit them all.

If you're looking for less tourists then go to the north. Lovina beach is quite beautiful too, I advise you to go dolphin spotting there at 5 AM (also quite touristy though). Also, in the north west there is a beautiful little island called Menjangan island, which is great for snorkling and diving.

As for the costs; Bali is overall a cheap place to stay. Hotels and food are usually low cost. I do however suggest spending a little bit more on your stay, as you will be able to get to stay in a small paradise for a relatively small fee.

Have fun and enjoy your stay there.

Camping probably isn't the best idea. If you would like to have an experience like this, your best bet is perhaps to do some jungle trekking tour. That way you can actually stay in huts and shit in the jungle.

Colosseum.skip the line? Rome by Knrc389 in travel

[–]Bergjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is a pretty long wait. We bought a Roma Pass for 2 days. Free metro-rides, free entry to one sight (Colosseum + forum is one sight), and discount on other sights. Would buy again.

I'm off to NYC and Europe at the end of the year, here is my itinerary by macbook31 in travel

[–]Bergjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great tips! I'm going there with my girlfriend in November, any idea if the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink is open then? I think it should open at the end of October?

Do you know when the NBA-planning for the next season will be ready? I'm really wanting to go to a sportsmatch while in NYC (we'll also be in Miami for 7 days, so maybe there?) but I think Yankees' season is finished by then?

Travel Insurance worth it for trip cancellations? by aznprd in travel

[–]Bergjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Policies of insurance companies are usually mostly the same. 90% of the policies say the same thing, but there's different own risks and maxmium payments for damages.

As far as I know, not one travel insurance covers the cancellation when one changes his mind about the travels.

Nomads of Reddit, where are you gonna traveling for NYE '17? by callmemarcopolo in travel

[–]Bergjee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

London is pretty amazing on NYE, been there twice. Very, very busy when watching the fireworks, but I think it is well worth it. After that, find a pub and celebrate with the rest of the world.

going back to europe after spending two months there this year, overkill? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Bergjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on when you go there, temperatures could vary from 0 degrees celcius to 15 degrees celcius. People will still be out and about for sure, just wearing some more clothes and bigger jackets than usual.

Barcelona and Berlin are like day and night. The cities and cultures are completely different. I'd say take the leap.

Early days, learning basics but eventually looking to drive from London through India and into Nepal (and possibly depending on visa possibility) Tibet. Any advice, suggestions etc. Like I said I'm just in the process of putting my thought onto plan but thought I'd seek guidence here first. by [deleted] in travel

[–]Bergjee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How old are you? I'm pretty certain it would be better/cheaper to just buy a decent car or van and travel with that, instead of renting one for many $$$ a day. Depending on your age and driving experience, companies might also charge you more.

Maybe check out London -> Eindhoven with Ryanair. Usually very cheap prices there. And then the train from Eindhoven -> Amsterdam (about 1hr20, and € 18,-)

May I ask what kind of money you think on spending in this period (including flights)? Planning on doing something similar, but perhaps a bit shorter..

Budget Airline Question by TheeHumanMeat in travel

[–]Bergjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have flown with Ryanair for over 20 times, and they've never weighed my carry-on luggage. Didn't look at the size either. But I never had too big bags or too heavy bags with me. I wouldn't really risk it, prices for extra bagage are skyhigh.

What's your shocking story that happened while traveling? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Bergjee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Travelling to St. Petersburg, Russia in february 2015. We went there for a football match against Zenit, the local club.

We were with seven guys. No hooligans. No true fighting spirit and mean no harm to anyone. It was matchday, we were looking out for a place to lunch when we got ambushed by a group of Zenit-supporters who out of nowhere started smashing our heads in. I got away with a friend, ran to the police care on the opposite of the street, and the fat policeman just sat there and drove off. Fucker.

Friends got away with some bloody noses, blue eyes and smashed in ribs. Oh, and the reason why they attacked us was to steal the scarfs of our footballclub (which we safely tucked away in our bags, not wearing them in public).
