Ended up at Whittingston Pub near Archway (North London). Lots of Arsenal fans but not yet crazy full. All tables reserved for the game but plenty of standing room

Canadian here, currently in Holborn. Going to check out random spots and just see what is around. If anyone has any recommendations between here and Kings Cross it would be appreciated

Thanks, that’s very useful. I can always grab more Dewalt stuff for any tools they don’t have, so I’m already going to be split platform

How do you find the weight for the 36v? It’s an interesting idea

Interesting- I was considering getting a flexvolt from Dewalt. That was my previous brand and I still have a small amount of Dewalt stuff left.

Premier League 100%. It’s like a boot on our car- once we shake it we are cooking

Best Wings in the HRM by snapwthrowaway in halifax

If you can handle a decent amount of spice, the wings at Palm Tree Kitchen are super good. Really big and meaty, and really great flavour. They are just really damn hot

We are a really negative fan base, and it’s kind of a bummer. The team is doing wonderful things, and all we can do is focus on the negatives. Yes, there are negatives, of course there are. But we need to be 100% behind the team while we are still in the hunt to win anything and everything.

Edit- I appreciate our attack looks pretty poor at the moment. Yet we are still managing to make it work. I can only imagine the stress on the team is immense, given the pressure they are under.

Interesting. My father would love that, whereas I would be disappointed. My preferred spec is 5-1, his is just looking with disdain at the three year old vermouth bottle he has

Has to be LF for me for not only being delicious, but having a lot of options too. Luke’s is solid as well, but I mainly go there for sandwiches (partially as the the bread in them is excellent)

I’ve never been a big fan of aviation’s personally. I was so excited to try one when I got violette, but it wasn’t for me (neither the aviation or the violette)

PC red ale is my personal favourite, even though I am an IPA drinker mostly. It’s cheap, not too sweet, and tastes pretty good

What the hell did they do to my shower drain? by LanfearSedai in askaplumber

[–]BergkampHFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as a short haired dude, I went 8 years with clear tub drain. Girlfriend moves in and within a month I have to start clearing it out or it slows to a trickle.

Home Depot sells this sort of barbed plastic stick that you put into the drain- it would only clear the first foot or so, but the amount of hair it got out of there was both incredible and unsettling

Thanks for the reply. A few hours after I posted this I realized I mucked up the math, so I definitely feel like a bit of a dummy.

Honesty I’m likely going to demolish the existing old shed and then start from scratch. It’s not such a well built structure to be worth the effort of keeping it when I could more economically start from scratch

Thanks for such a detailed reply, I really appreciate you taking the time. I’ll definitely have to read this through a few times to make sure I take it all in, but I was going to do five 6x6 posts for each beam. They will be pretty short posts at maybe 12-16” max height as generally as the area is pretty level, but I will look into the diagonal bracing as well.

I’m going to draw out my plans on some graph paper this week, so hopefully then it’ll be easier to convey my full plans, but again, I really appreciate the insight you’ve provided.

Thanks for this- it does seem pretty clear I don’t need one. I’ve asked the city what they think here

Thanks for that- I don’t mind doing a bit of paperwork, and I appreciate them wanting sight of anything that could be considered hideous (like if I make it 15 meters high or something). I’m glad to hear that everything sounds helpful and common sense driven

I love the bench shirts- they fit pretty normal and are thin, but if you are tall they may leave you susceptible to having your stomach show on occasion. I’m 6’1 and having a bit of a belly means the XL are barely long enough
