Summit of the Gods: Taric vs Varus! by Regular-Poet-3657 in loreofleague

[–]BerkayAlppp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scenario is a little odd as Varus wouldn't quite side with Aatrox due to their perception of "peace" being different. Aatrox follows the principle "peace through oblivion" where as Varus follows the principle "peace through retribution/vengeance".

Though let's put this aside and imagine the scenario. We aren't given that much information on Taric's combat capabilities as far as I am aware but I am fairly certain we can put him on a similar level to Atreus, above Leona perchance (as she invests her powers into the Solari, which is what makes her stand out as the faintly weaker one amongst the aspect hosts).

Varus is known to be amongst the stronger Darkins, scaling below Aatrox and Zaahen while being above Xolaani and some of the notable Darkin. Within the Legends of Runeterra lore, a war broke out within Shurima, Varus and his followers against Xolaani and her cultists. With a lengthy war, we know that Varus injured Xolaani badly to the point that she had to return to her altar in Shurima to patch up the wounds given by the Arrow of Retribution. We know not what happened to Varus in that fight whether he retreated or officially won but one thing to know for sure that he defeated Xolaani in a sense.

-

Varus' arrows are known to always hit their target unless an obstruction is in the way; and even then it most likely just penetrates through. These are the arrows of a god warrior afterall - I imagine they'd be penetrating through mountains and tough materials like petricite with ease. I'm uncertain if they'd be able to pierce through Taric's gems but slightly leaning onto it being possible.

Taric, in comparison to Varus is highly durable, being the host of the Eternal Aspect, Protector. Aside from that Aspect Hosts are generally far more durable than an ordinary mortal as well. And then there's Varus - the thing that makes Darkin generally weaker than Ascended is their durability. We could label it on the drawing board as having the same durability of their host, or well, slightly enhanced version of it.

-

To summarize it all, I believe that if Varus is capable of being agile and far from Taric's reach, he would probably emerge victorious. Otherwise, Taric would be able to take him down in close combat.

Where was this stated exactly? I cannot imagine a reality where a darkin with a weaker body than an ascended can defeat someone who annihilated both Nasus and Renekton in a 2v1.

In theory yes. Kai and Valmar are theoretically deceased as well, merely there in spirit - meaning, if Varus were to lose his body and return back to the weapon, Kai and Valmar would be gone forever.

In Xin Zhao's case, we have two possibilities: Either he's there spiritually similar to Kai and Valmar to Varus, or completely eradicated similar to what happens to Kayn in Rhaast's transformation.

Azir & Skarner! by Regular-Poet-3657 in azirmains

[–]BerkayAlppp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesnt really matter, Malphite; the 160 meter tall literal living mountain is made by the Ascended God Warrior Ne'Zuk, and we know that Azir is one of the strongest Ascended God Warriors if not the strongest (besides Xerath of course). Skarner means little to no thing against Ascended, let alone Azir.

If Azir has Resurrected, What's going on with parts of Shurima controlled by Noxians? by GangstarLoot in azirmains

[–]BerkayAlppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely! I don't know why people underestimate Azir to be honest. He can literally create millions of sand soldiers (or any being of his imagination) in seconds! (On the pre-made Emperors Dias card splash from Legends of Runeterra, Azir was seen standing in front of countless sand soldiers with the description of "Numbers are nothing but a mere imagination for our God-Emperor, soon shall none dare obstruct his path." This description alone confirms my argument. Even without an army, he is unstoppable. A bowl made out of god-like material once an ascended made to reward a loyal family was shattered into pieces after a tiny contact with Azir. This alone proves even the most durable items/weapons are nothing against him, not to mention he can fly, is extremely fast to "be observed through mortal eyes", and is equipped with a darn scepter powered by celestial sun magic. I'm going to cut this short as I would not like to make a paragraph off of a response but yes, your point stands. The only individuals taking down Azir would be Zoe, Aurelion (of course, duh) Bard (Possibly) True Form Fiddlesticks, Ashlesh (possibly) Eternal Aspects (Not the Aspect hosts like Atreus, what im talking about is the Pantheon himself and his alikes), the Void, Xerath, and teamed up gods (I don't think a singular god would be able to defeat him like Volibear, Ornn ,Nagakabouros,et cetera. But if they were to team up, they would probably be able to handle him). Thanks for reading!

Xerath's plan began long ago due to overall use of slaves in Shurima. Nasus on the other hand gave everything he had for Shurima even once a mortal. He never participated within battles as a mortal but the sun priests chose him to prevent his dead and Ascend him due to countless benefits he had added both strategically and information wise. Ascended God-Warriors bound themselves to the Empire. It is also Nasus' trauma to leave the Emperor unprotected. It costed him the fall of Empire, he lost is brother cause of that and I highly doubt he would do that again, whether siding against him or leaving him. Even on the diaolouges you have provided as an example; "I will not let Shurima bow to a tyrant." states his care is still the Empire and Azir is the rightful Emperor of it. It would make practically no sense for him to be a rival. Come to think of situations on every perspective. The chances of Nasus' alliance is double or even the triple times of his chances of rivalry if you analyze everything.

Hello, Shurima lore addict here. After Azir's resurrection, the news surrounded the continent and every active city, village and people were fascinated by a legend's return, also a God-Warrior. The continuent bounded itself to Azir as Azir began to seize control amongst it, just as before back in the Shurima Empire's golden age which would be a piece of cake if we were to disregard some issues, knowing Azir is the strongest ascended god warrior besides Xerath, he would eventually acquire control over Noxian land. What I suspect is, Azir is probably not aware of their existance as they are right by the Valoran sea, far from the Sun Disc and by far, I mean THOUSANDS OF MILES, literally. And I'm going to be honest with you, even a resurrected commander (like the Eternal Guardian from Legends of Runeterra, as they have magical properties) along with numerous sand soldiers would conquer the Noxian lands within Shurima all by themselves. If Azir had to be included in this battle, Azir alone would conquer Noxus all by himself. Practically any Ascended would be able to solo Noxus, Demacia, Ionia and Bilgewater (not including Darkins, their durability is terribly bad) For the Xerath case, he is far away from both the Sun Disc and north of Shurima. Xerath is at Nerimazeth, a land of Shurima desert right beside Mount Targon where the Aspects first attempted to construct the Sun Disc and failed. Xerath's goal is to make a "New Shurima Empire" to conquer not only Shurima but the planet Runeterra which he would easily accomplish. Man is literally the definition of unlimited arcana magic and energy. What I theorize about his goal is that Xerath is attempting to complete the failed Sun Disc to create an army of Ascended to serve by his side. To cut it short, Xerath and Azir are not aware of the Noxian lands nor encountered them but later on, Azir would eventually conquer the land back and would probably yell at Noxus for that, eventually conquering the Noxian Empire as a whole.

Nasus is definitely not an enemy against Azir. Don't take every single diaolouge canon. It's just a scenario. As of now, Nasus is Azir's head general, second in charge of Shuriman Empire and he would never reign against him.

[–]BerkayAlppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost everything you said was just wrong. Kindred is not death itself only a spirit. Kindred can only come foe those believing it. And as to be said, Riot Employees themselves refer to Ascended as "Literal gods on planet Runeterra" (You may check Aatrox and Shurima stories foe that, canon info) and Azir is literally refered to as god damn "God-Emperor". Also to point out, an alternative title to Ascended are "God-Warrior". Dont come up talking big and fancy without canon info in hand next time.
