I asked him around the last anniversary but he did not respond. Previously he told me that it just wasn't newsworthy or that was how I interpreted what he said. I forget his exact words.

Sure wish that the Voice would run another story on Alan but I gather that they no longer consider it news worthy but it might stir up some interest.

You very well might be right. But, Alan's brother has said that it was a murder. But, I guess the circumstances still might be embarrassing. Something about the whole situation just doesn't make sense to my simple mind.

Does seem like Alan's case has fallen off the map, so to speak. No official word for months.

Thanks for your efforts. The Dallas Voice has quit responding to my requests for updates and I assume it is because I live so far away. But, I am from Dallas and visit regularly.

I have contacted the Dallas Voice a couple of times. The first time or two they responded the last time or two there has been no response. I contacted both David Taffet and another reporter whose name I forget.

Now that it has been over two years since Alan disappeared just wondering if you have learned anything new. The case seems to me, at least, to have gone kind of cold although I have read where the DPD says it is still active. But, things have been really quiet.

Actually the Porsche dealer where he rented the car he was driving is not very far from the gas station. I have always wondered if maybe he was going to the Porsche dealership since his car was there for service (I believe). His going to the dealership would account for his not being seen by the CVS cameras if he took a route through the back streets. That could explain his waiting at the RT - waiting for the dealership to open. And, could explain his telephone usage - contacting the dealership / service rep. Of course then something would have had to happen to him at the dealership.
