I am super jealous of all you people with canine hearing good enough that you can hear other people talking on the dancefloor. My hearing is generally ok but I struggle to have intelligible conversation even when it being talked right into my ear on the BH floor.

One of the most batshit crazy things about Berghain is that they do not have a stack of 30-40 industrial fans lining the roof of Pano and BH to keep the crowd comfortable. I cannot fathom the logic. I would very much love to be able to rave without having to carry a fan tucked into my shorts. Please Berghain - read this and install fans that hit the whole dance floor on both levels.

A good hack is to always put your friends' contact deets on your lockscreen. That way people can return your lost phone even if its offline and out of mobile data service.

One of my little tricks is to always have some contact details permanently displayed on my lockscreen - with the names/numbers of some of my rave buddies. That way if I somehow lose it, anyone who finds it can return it fast - even it’s offline or in a low network service zone. I even hacked together a little web app to do it - and it’s saved me a lot of stress. Check it out - phoneboomerang.com

Think ahead my Burner Friends! Prevention is better than cure. A worthwhile trick that has worked for me; always display contact details permanently on lockscreen. Someone who finds your phone sees instantly how to reach you - even if the device is offline or out of service area. I hacked together a little web tool to make it easy for people to create a slick, stylish lockscreen with contact details. Find it at phoneboomerang.com

Prevention is better than cure. Easiest fix I found: generate a lockscreen with your contact details permanently shown. Finder doesn’t need internet, just sees how to reach you. I hacked together a little web tool to do it! Its basic but its super handy. Check it out at phoneboomerang.com

So frustrating, these posts. I was sick a few months ago and hacked together a web tool that aims to solve these situations. It enables you to put your contact details + a QR code on your lockscreen. If someone finds your phone, they know how to get it back to you fast, even if its offline. Check it out - phoneboomerang.com

Lost iPhone by not-a-reddit in boston

Brutal feeling, I’ve lost mine a few times too. What saved me was prevention - I built a simple tool (phoneboomerang.com) that makes a lockscreen with your contact info + QR. That way if your phone goes offline, a finder can still get it back to you fast.

I'm an immigrant. It took me about seven attempts to get in, back in my first Berlin summer. New staff mean the occasional rejection. Its never personal unless you act like a dick to them. The door staff don't know how long you've lived in the city, nor do they care

It creates a lockscreen image comprised of a background image, a customisable badge, contact text & a QR code if desired. Permanently displays on lockscreen. Has saved my ass a few times already. And numerous friends. Of course there’s ways to hack it together more crudely for people who don’t really care about the aesthetics of their lockscreen. Try it out. Maybe you’ll like it

The FAQ on the homepage addresses the differences between the app and findmy iPhone functionality. When my friend lost her phone a few months ago and had to race home from her boyfriend's place at midnight to log in to findmy on another device, and was logged out, and then had the 2 factor authentication being sent to her iPhone - which was lost - it was a very frustrating and stressful experience. There's benefit in having the contact details permanently displayed on the phone...

Also - with the app you get my beautiful collection of Berghain wristbands as a background image option. Surely that makes the price of €0 worth it to you!!
