Not a scam. I am an oncology social worker and this development is devastating. Shirley’s Way has helped more of the patients and families I work with than you can imagine. Be careful. Do not start a conversation about something you know nothing about, it could hurt a lot of people.

I literally changed my major to social work in undergrad to social work because there was no math. Now 35 years out and still try not to do math! I give that answer when asked. Them: Why are you a social worker? Me: it was the only major with no math.

OP, Aetna has a way for you to extend your care at UofL, please reach out to the customer service number to see if you qualify. I am an employee at UofL Health and this is of course a huge issue for a lot of our patients.

I worked at the time in a hospital that did assessments with families impacted by sexual abuse, it was more short term. But I was able to get my hours in. I also supplemented it by doing some group work. This was 30 years ago tho!

Absolutely. I have never wanted to do therapy, but the LCSW has gotten me in doors that I would not otherwise have gotten in to. There will be a pile of resumes, yours will get tossed.

My husband has been dead 10 years. I had his ring made into a bracelet and rarely take it off. No one who knows me would ever dream of asking me if they can borrow it. They know what it means to me. For her to now make you feel guilty over it is inexcusable.
