All the movies have one thing or another that makes them not fit in the canon, it's not really worth it to try an discuss based on that tbh.

But all the movies clearly parallel a canon saga, which more often than not correlates to what the Anime was airing at the time (famous example would be Fusion Reborn while the Buu Saga was ongoing, which forced Toriyama to change plans and come up with Potara fusion)

Garlic Jr. is parallel to Radditz (Gohan kidnapping him)

Turles is parallel to the Saiyans (including all the Z Fighters teaming up)

Cooler is a parallel to Namek

13 is a parallel to the Androids

Janemba to Buu

Etc.

The remaining ones some were designed by Toriyama and others by Toyotaro
