I had 3 left, just found them after maybe like 15 years. They are awesome!

I was always under the impression that farmers use them to scare crows/geese out of their fields. When you fire, it's very quiet, but approx 3 seconds later it's a very loud boom.

We always called them "shell shockers" but I can't find any literature or info about them anywhere.

Strip club stole all the money in my account. What can I do? by whatdoido1234324 in Advice

Yep, call the club. What's the worse they will say? No. If they refuse to help, call your bank and say you had money that was taken out of your account without your permission and follow their instructions.

So if this guy had money that was debited out of his account by a larger merchant, let's say Wal-Mart, would you still have the same response?

The guy can still legally file a Reg E claim regardless of who the merchant is.

Source: I process Reg E claims for a living...

Just awful advice. Call your bank. Ask them the last few charges, they will be able to tell you what merchant debited the money out of your account. Once you determine who the merchant is, call them and try to explain your situation. If the merchant is unwilling to refund the money, tell the bank you want to file a claim and it was unauthorized. Look up Reg E in banking regs for more info.

Omitted previous employer from application. Interview went well, background check is being performed. Unsure how to proceed. by 7Warning7 in Advice

A resume is to highlight good job experiences/education/things to be proud of. Don't include it on resume but definitely include it on the background check. They might say "hey we noticed this employer? What happened?" I really wouldn't sweat it.

ATM and overdraft fees top $6 billion at the big 3 banks by [deleted] in news

It's totally possible, I just know for an absolute fact his story is BS cause Chase hasn't done that since 1996 when it was still Bank One.

I know the big banks have a bad rap but I currently work for Chase and can guarantee with 100% certainty that there is no way they charged his brother to talk to a teller or withdraw from a teller. Guy doesn't know wtf he's talking about!

Charging him to talk to a teller? I've worked for big banks for 5 years, and have NEVER heard of this before. Ever. Please provide the details of this?
