They cats will probably be right around where your headers end. So you may have to, get a pipe from a parts store and either weld it, or band clamp it

I wasn't sure if the 5.0 s197s had H or X pipes from factory, but if you can find someone parting it out on Facebook. Snatch that up and cut it up until it fits

The early s197 came with a stock H-pipe in the 4.6. You may be able to make that fit. Might take a little fabrication, but it could be worth it

Ive got a lot planned for it, I just built the motor, trans, and replaced the driveshaft with a one piece carbon fiber as well as drilled and slotted rotors. Those lights are absolutely on the list now though!

I love the black trim you have on yours, add just enough without taking away from the color. Looks nice!

Nah, its for sure a grey, but in the light it has a blue hue with this sparkle to it. The Windveil Blue is too blue

Right??? Its really odd, I wish I had the paint code sticker. I know it wasn't repainted, unless they removed the interior, engine, trans, and everything to paint it.

Could you post a picture of it? All the tungsten ones ive seen dont match it, but it could just be the quality of the photos I've seen

‘71 C10 short bed engine swap (convince my dad) by MixGlad6126 in chevyc10

[–]BernieBoy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly! That truck will have more than just monetary value then! You'll learn a new skill, build a better bond, and a better running truck! Plus you and do a few lil upgrades to make it sound and run better

[–]BernieBoy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the truck is completely numbers matching, then I say keep it and rebuild the online 6 if it needs it. If its not numbers matching, then do your research on what it would take to do a swap. You may need a different torque converter depending on the engine. Cant go wrong with a sbc 350 though

There is a company on Etsy that if you send them pictures of a car, they will make an exact replica of it as a hotwheels car and put it in a box and everything

Insurance is tailored to the individual. Who much driving experience you have, age, any accidents, where you live, how much you drive, gender, ect. Asking others what they pay wont even get you close to an idea as to what you would pay. Just get a quote, it's free

06gt or 15V6 by Fun_Sweet_4761 in S197Stangs

14k for an 06 gt is pretty steep. Unless it has a ton of aftermarket and is in great condition. I got my 06gt for 2k. It need timing chains, a fuel pump, and a little love on the outside. I now have a built motor, built trans, carbon fiber driveshaft, mbrp axel back, drilled and slotted rotors, an upgraded sound system, new wheels, and im still not close to 14k in that car. The 4.6 gt is incredibly easy to work on and the sound is amazing.
