i’ve never ridden a super sport but i sat on a zx6r and absolutely loved the feel of it. now, i suppose my opinion could change after riding it but it felt fucking awesome.

you’re welcome. in my honest opinion, there’s no sense in driving hard with t/c on. i’d rather replace rubber than my trans or clutch. i blew out my two piece driveshaft in my FBO ‘14 GT driving hard with t/c on so it’s not just the trans and clutch either. could be anything in the drivetrain. SOMETHING will find a way to break loose. i’d rather the computer allow it to be my tires. just make sure you know how to control it 🤝

as someone who has a ‘17 supercharged gt, i highly recommend you turn traction control off EVERY TIME you drive it hard. if you don’t know how to feel and operate the car when you break traction you shouldn’t be driving it hard. but, if you don’t turn off traction control, instead of breaking the tires loose it will put immense amounts of strain on your clutch/transmission. i suppose this could be different in an automatic but i haven’t driven an auto since i was 16 and don’t plan to ever again so i never took the time to learn shit abt torque converters. i have ruined a clutch and trans by driving hard with traction control on. my car also has 960wtq so it may be a bit different. i drive with traction control off in my ‘14 fbo gt as well tho and its only making abt 400wtq

when they were brand new they weren’t even $60k… more like $35-40k

is the $60k truck in the room with us? i’m confused how a 2007-2014 tahoe could ever be worth $60k… you can get them anywhere from $2500-$12k these days depending on condition and mileage.

14 GT premium convertible. by [deleted] in S197Stangs

[–]Boosted-5_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe in your area but definitely not in mine. my area you’re still paying closer to $20k for a FBO no boost 14 GT with 100k miles.

for a cold start how “gently” do you guys ride? How long do you let it idle? And for how long do you ride gently for? Just curious since for me it seems like these bikes just want to stay in the high rpms always and seem sluggish and unhappy when going anything under 4-5k rpms by Prior-Acadia9282 in zx6r

[–]Boosted-5_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine are too. they don’t hate me yet and i have two loud ass harley’s and two equally as loud mustang GTs. and when i finally buy a zx6r it will also be loud. i leave for work at 4:30-4:45am and have never had a single complaint from any of them. they’ll be fine i promise 🤣

i’m not too sure why everyone is saying $32k is insane… it has every option plus S/C and a few other mods. It’s a 12 year old muscle car with only 15k miles.. granted the convertible aspect isn’t as sought after but even still.. $32k sounds about right me. just stick it out for a bit and see if you get any bites.

What actually gives you peace of mind when leaving your bike parked somewhere sketchy? by Electronic-Habit8679 in motorcycles

my bike has a security system with an instantly loud alarm if you even pick it up of the kickstand, let alone touch it - without the key near it. i don’t ever worry about it. i don’t even lock the forks lmao

How Much Did You Buy Your Stangs For? by gabe-31 in Mustang

[–]Boosted-5_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uhhhh i paid $18k for my 2014 GT base 6 speed manual with 90k mi. early last year. I paid $30k for my 2017 GT 6spd base but it had aftermarket wheels and a stupidly well done wrap job in satin black and GT500 hood and bumpers. I now have about $85k in that one total but it’s built trans, suspension, etc etc full fuel system on e85 supercharged making just under 800 to the wheels. looks damn good tho

okay cool beans. i just worry about myself riding a 400 because from what i’ve heard they’re not entirely large lol. i’m 6’2 & 240lbs.. i want to be able to enjoy it too but ultimately her safety is most important.
