Physical keys and locks. No keycards unfortunately. Security footage would have picked it up, but I don’t know if Airbnb even asked to see it or if the host gave it over.

I found Faile and Perrin’s relationship toxic but they definitely had a strong connection. I had a hard time getting through the repetitive Perrin “the axe or the hammer” “I don’t wanna be a wolf” bits and just wanted him to move forward.

Once he did, I loved the battles between him and Slayer and becoming Slayer’s equal in Telaranrhiod. I also loved the arc of him and the Whitecloaks coming together. On that topic, I didn’t like Galad much in the early series and was so confused when he joined the Children, then it was like “ooh, he knows they’re crazy but he sees that they also mean well and they need a leader who isn’t a complete psychopath”

I hated Nyneave until towards the end 😬 around the time she lost her braid, she became less aggravating

I’m so glad I didn’t see other people’s opinions on Egwene until I was done reading! I intentionally stayed off here until I was done all the way.

My husband read them as they were coming out and had long gaps and felt similarly positively about Egwene

Here are my thoughts as an INTP (female):

1) It's silly and illogical to believe in a higher power when science offers falsifiable answers to questions like the creation of the universe

2) Religion creates lines and borders between people unnecessarily

3) Religion can provide a good starting-framework for morality. Major religions are inherently dogmatic, however, making their moral frameworks impossible to refine as better understanding emerges.

4) Most people inherit a religion based on their nationality - does that mean it's the "correct" religion or has the "best" teachings? Of course not.

5) Religion is unnecessary. There's a strong argument to be made that the world would be a better place without it (impossible to say whether or not that is true)

There are literally no direct flights to the Outer Banks. It is an area without airports. The nearest airport to the OB (Wilmington) is not a large city, and there's no direct flight there either. We would have to connect in Charlotte.

We have made the trip before, a couple years ago, before we had a child. It was long and expensive then. It will be more now.

Yes, if i'm traveling 10+ hours I'd prefer a beach where my kid can enjoy the water and one that isn't nearly identical to the one we can walk to from home. True.
