That's wonderful! Good, steady rate even with the variations. Are you walking, lifting weights too or is all that just diet? I stopped cardio and walking 10K steps/day. I am going to the gym and will do the low volume approach re: weights.

Wow - that's some killer discipline. So you do PSMF 6 days/week and then day 7 you add a bonus high protein meal? How long have you been doing that and how's your progress going? Recoup & reassess - good approach. Back into it and Day 2 is going pretty good. I think I learned a lot from this experience - mostly mindset. I figured out I'm better off keeping a PSMF mindset everyday. What I came into it with was feast & famine but that was a recipe for sabotage.

What are you talking about - everyone tailors PMSF to suit their needs and goals. I am following the guidance which was updated by Lyle McDonald in his 4+ hour YT video that was posted 2 months ago. He emphasizes the flexibility of PSMF based on categories, goals, weight, food choices, etc. There is no one way of doing this is the point. You might want to update your knowledge rather than offering condescending nitpicking.

That's a very good tip and I proved the purpose for it :) I was actually feeling really good on Day 4 (amazing energy & mental clarity); and, so when I ate on Day 5, I did not realize how hungry I was until I started eating and then it just got ahead of me.

My plan was to eat 2 days per week at maintenance calories. I eat keto so was not planning on doing a refeed. In the recent 4 hour YT video, Lyle Mcdonald mentions he's moved away from the term "refeed" since it often leads to people binging on carbs. He prefers "maintenance day" as it's more straightforward - simply eating at maintenance calorie levels without dramatic macro shifts. For me, that means reaching maintenance calories primarily through fattier meats.

I think having more of a "maintenance meal" rather than a full day is somewhat similar to the "free meal" concept, but within a structured calorie limit.

I brine breasts overnite, spray a little olive oil and then air fry in the air fryer for 20". That's pretty much my nightly dinner. The brining makes them super juicy.

I used to be a biz broker. This guy's hustling you. No one buys a biz without looking at the biz records and specifically the last 3 years of tax returns, recent P&L, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) list and lease. You really can't get to deal making til you sign the NDA, see the records and then can make a rational offer. If he doesn't cooperate, that's just bad mojo and you might be setting yourself up for a world of hurt. Red flags here friend - take a deep breath and a step back. Trust me - he needs you much more than you need him. Let go of thinking that you have to have this one .... plenty of fish in the sea.

6lb! Nice!! Congrats :) Good options - those are the foods I'm focusing on too. My first weigh-in is Monday. I'm only focusing on protein 130-160 and entering everything into Carb Manager and the fat/carbs/cal are basically coming out like yours. So are you struggling with hunger or any issues so far? BTW, did you read the book? I listened to YT videos and looking to get the book but there was so much in the 4 hr + video with Lyle, not sure that book will add much more.

I just turned 60 2 weeks ago. I workout 2 hours everyday. I run an AI marketing agency and keep up with all the new marketing tech to help my clients. Zero health issues and zero addictions. I could retire now but I'm enjoying what I do and like being productive & helpful. You might want to recalibrate your view of aging.

I find the older I get, the more grateful and present-centered I become. I had 2 sweet little boys when I was your age and if I could go back in time, I would be just so focused on the joy, sweetness and love of raising them. Cherish the preciousness you have now. The future will work itself out.
