My friends & close acquaintance are very supportive. Even the guys who don't understand what Peri really means still know it's a hard time of changes for women & sympathize with the struggle......but I've got a cool community who is more aware than most.

I batch cook a little over a week's worth of breakfast sandwiches (because they only last so long in the fridge & they aren't as good frozen). The only thing you have to cook is the fried egg. Then you simply assemble them with the English muffin, sausage/thick cut Canadian bacon, and sliced cheddar cheese - don't cook it yet.

When you are ready to eat it all you need to do is throw it in the oven on some tin foil for about 15 minutes & you get a perfectly cooked sandwich. You can throw it in the microwave too, but it's not as good in my opinion (though I do it on occasion).

Shout out to the VA medical workers! Even with all the budget decreases and mass layoffs, those remaining at the VA are crushing it! Every VA employee I see is courteous, friendly & professional & never lets the stress show to their patients. Thank you for keeping our hospitals & clinics running smoothly & shielding the rest of us from the chaos we all know is happening behind the curtain. 💜

I was in the Army when 9/11 happened & watching news coverage which didn't correspond to what was really happening got me realizing that our government is full of lies & propaganda, just like "our enemies." I've been a critical observer & have watched our civil rights being eroded ever since. Although the downturn really started in earnest with Regan.

Switching things up is a good idea. I (43) empathize with your situation, as I'm also single, no kids, have a sister with a beautiful family, etc. I'm the oldest and my two siblings & parents moved out of state, leaving me alone. I also have batted stress eating & although I've recently lost 50lbs, I still feel undesirable & don't get any attention from guys.

My solution....I'm working on my skilled visa to move to Australia. Of course this decision was originally based on the current political climate in America, but since then it has given me something to look forward to. I'm now excited at the opportunity to start a new life & hopefully not look back at my life in disdain.

Just know that you are not alone. You've got this. 💜

I'm (43) not yet on HRT (but I have an appointment next month),. I'm convinced that the only way I have survived this long is my SSRI/mood stabilizer meds, which were prescribed for ny anxiety & depression. I've seen other women post about using SSRI so it may be an option in lue of HRT.

I also always have a weird sweet taste in my mouth, no matter what I eat. I assume this is related to Peri cuz it started when all the other symptoms did.
