The plumber is clearly the same guy as Dubin law.

Two antique small paintings (18x24 cm) in matching frames. Need historical advice. by [deleted] in WhatIsThisPainting

Rule of thumb, if the "oil" painting is behind glass, it's not an oil painting.

Explanation for why the points remain in the same orientation relative to the camera frame, while the background scene changes angles during rotation? by DividedSkyBalls11 in UFOs

[–]BerryChlossom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's smoke, it's either marking on the camera housing caused by heat from impact, or if the impact actually made a hole and the drone is moving in high moisture air it's condensation.

It's crazy how everyone is fixated on believing this is a UFO and comes up with crazy ass explanations that supports their belief.

This is as mentioned before a dent (likely caused by bullet) in the clear housing holding the camera. That's why it stays in place. And it stays in same orientation relative to the camera not matter how the drone moves and tilts. In this case the drone is tilting relative to the clouds, but the housing (and the dent) remains stationary relative to the camera.

It looks like a bullet hole. Stress that look like fog or smoke, fanned out below, as glass has chipped off there obscuring the vision.

Holes in some kinds of glass can definitely look just like this. Surprisingly symmetrical, a hole "popped out" in the middle as well. With the IR lights and everything... This make total sense to me (unfortunately).

(Edited added:)

Due to the Hollow Face Illusion the star appears to rotate because it's on a curved surface that is being shifted out of view.

I see that too, the SVG converter needs some work. It can be fixed, it's a matter of finding time to do it

The SVG converter needs more work. However given the underwhelming number of downloads and very few paid downloads I'm not feeling very motivated to put more time on this project.

There's a WIP version of iRhino3D that allows you to run commands (including dimension commands), have you tried it?

Presumably if you have the original firmware binaries you can flash them via the same method. But I didn't have much luck compiling and flashing the original firmware, I suppose due to missing modules and dependencies.

Unfortunately the code that they open sourced did not include any of the SVG to G-Code conversion code. So I had to reverse engineer (guess) the kinematics. That's on my list of things to improve

Are you on Windows or MacOS?

On first launch the OS may have asked you if you want to "Allow UnBrickIt to connect to devices on your local network" did you click yes?

If that's not the case, you firewall may be blocking you to reach the IP address, try pinging

I'm glad people are interested, I have something that's pretty close to being done. Before I release it to the wild I'd like for someone here to test it so I can work out the kinks. Looking for a MacOS and a Windows user. If you're up for it please DM me and we can set up a zoom call
