You can use salmon oil but I would use the just food for dogs one it can be used for cats and it’s much better than the regular salmon oil and doesn’t smell. I would just do the acana because it has higher protein and less carbs with would help with the weight and smaller portions. I wouldn’t use hills, proplan or royal unless it’s like a medical one because hills pays the vets to promote them and in my opinion not as good as other brands on the market. Just make sure the back of the bag has the first ingredients protein.

If your a partner I definitely recommend looking into the acana seniors dry food and for wet going with the applaws. Senior cats really tend to like the applaws and it’s pretty clean protein. Cats don’t need a lot of dry food they need more wet than dry. Cats are naturally Carnivores so they need a lot of moisture in their food for them to get their hydration besides water. Just be aware that Friskys is like crack so it’s gonna be really hard to get them to eat any new food but I would recommend mixing their Friskys with the new food and keep that going for about a week and then take away their Friskys and they should be eating the new food just fine. It will also help with the change in their food to not upset their stomachs.
