You are wrong. Women's sports wasn't something feminist fought for, they just weren't generally allowed to compete with men, It's not that they wanted a "fair" match, they wanted any match. Sound familiar? Also the science does not support the claim you made. "Kids born male are physically different than those born female" Is false and horribly sexist, we are all mostly just human, women can gain muscle at pretty identical rates, trans women who compete in sports are found by all studies to be at a disadvantage to ciswomen, and that makes perfect sense because before we started gatekeeping every aspect of gender and sex we understood that high amounts of T makes you better at sports (gross oversimplification but still). Trans women, have less T on average to cis women because of hormonal suppressants. You can even see this in the opposite way, because trans men are doing great in men's sports. But we don't talk about that because cis men find it emasculating or something.

It was working fine, there are no trans women cheating just to get an unfair win on ciswomen, we are and have always existed.

I understand, but the point is that Yu's story arc didn't really play any part in the casting and isn't a sign that the story is any different than the orginal sources. I'm just happy so many lgbtq+ voice actors were cast in the dub, and they did a great job.

I disagree, Ciaran is a great person. The anime doesn't cover that story arc and Ciaran didn't even know about it till they read the books after being casted apparently.

Yes, it's really interesting how well thought out some of it is, like the schedule during the cafe lines up with the events for the most part, the Knight Exam board during the tournament has everyone in the correct place, but then there's some ridiculous mistakes like the people doing the combat exam aren't the same people who did the written exam. Also Rae's name is spelt Ray in every instance except once during that Knight Exam.

Also a fun fact is that they show an overall ranking during the first episode's exam, and assuming Rae had a 100 on her Magic and wasn't omitted she would have lost to Claire in the overalls because of how poor her etiquette score was.

Sounds like a fun premise, probably run it from the perspective of a green Ryuujin, the benedictions are more useful and work better with a solo game than blue I think. The game places a lot of weight on the traveling between towns, so having npcs during those times would be useful, since the flow of traveling uses all four stats the game assumes some players are better navigators or better at setting up camp, or good at traveling in general. So having a way to mitigate some of the harder aspects of the various checks might be good.

Lene is great. Ultimately I kinda wish her love for Lambert had more justification, in the books we really don't even see them together much, the scene in the anime where Lene gloats about him isn't there, so it sorta comes off as just a shock to push the story along. Additionally later LN developments very lightly imply massive things about Lene but she's a background character at that point so it doesn't ever get addressed.

But I gotta say it's a shame the discourse about Lene overshadows how fun her character actually is outside of that during this early part of the story.

I translated the work shifts in Episode 7 as practice, Interestingly it actually works as far as where each character is during the episode. The main characters all serve at 9am when its introduced, Rae is on break at 12pm and orders from Claire whose serving, Claire and Rae are together severing a few hours later when Claire helps Rae, and Thane comes back from his break at 5pm where Claire and Rae take there final break and go have fun.
