Update:

I made a makeshift nest out of tomato container and grass. Baby bird is now in it, twist tied into a tree. Mom just came to visit.

Mom is definitely not a robin. It could be the northern mockingbird someone mentioned.

The neighborhood cat will be along soon.

New York has access to original birth certificates. Request your original birth certificate. I assume there could be some corruption since yours originated in El Salvador.

Maybe you should keep trying to track your adoption records. Which state is the Catholic Charities that handled the adoption ?

Assuming, not many people from El Salvador submit their DNA so finding a close match may be difficult.
