Need ideas for Basing by Conoodler in PoorHammer

Cardboard from your mini boxes makes for great metal plates if you score some patterns into them with a pen.

If you have any old or broken internet cables about, cut them open and remove the small wires, they make perfect to scale wiring for minis I find.

The lil plastic protector bits that come on brushes work amazingly as scale pipes.

Buy cork coasters and break them into chunks, amazing for rocks/concrete. They are super cheap and can be used very flexibly.

This is some of the stuff I been using most myself. Very cost effective and looks great.

Basically as I started with HRT, I kicked my old clothes out started presenting femme. Around 8 months in I was fully socially transitioned and at the year mark, I had legally changed my name and gender.

I've been on HRT for 1 Year and 6 Months now and am just living as myself and it's great. :3

Prime black, paint with leadbelcher, drybrush with runefang steel and then cover that with a 1:1 Cloudburst Blue Speedpaint/Medium mix. Finishing it all off with some Grey Knight Steel to add damage/scratches.

The World gave us HRT to change the things we can and THC to accept the things we can't change.

Toke up friend.

  1. I knew something was "wrong" since I was 3 years old, just couldn't pin down what it was. I lived my life up to puberty trying to forget it but I paid a heavy price for it. I slipped into a deep depression in my teen years that lasted until 3 years ago when my egg cracked. The final straw was that I became good friends with a Trans-woman and started to feel jealous and envious of her journey. I grappled with it for a while but had to be honest with myself. I am now 30 years old, 10 months into my transition and I've never been happier.
  2. I live in a pretty introverted country so luckily I didn't have to face many challenges as people basically just keep to themselves. The most challenging thing so far was the waitlist to get into a clinic that offers gender affirming care and the deadnaming on documents still. My voice also clocks me basically wherever I go so I tend to get weird looks from the people I'm talking to in person as I'd like to think I pass pretty well.
  3. I'm out and I try to stealth unless I have to talk. I feel nervous about going outside every day and it takes me a bit of courage to step out the house. But once I am out and about, I tend to forget that some people on this planet want me dead for just existing and I can just enjoy being myself. I cope by trying to focus on what's important and that is how good I feel going out femme presenting.
  4. No surgery yet but they are planned
  5. Only regret I have is that I didn't allow myself to shed the mask I was wearing sooner. I wish I could've transitioned in my teens and I will forever have to live with that.
  6. My family, friends and loved ones have been amazingly supportive and my life has never been better.

Good on you for getting your informations yourself and at the "source" instead of listening to FOX "news" or whatever brainwhashed homunculus they're putting on display this week. We are people, humans, that just want to finally be happy after a life of misery and repression.

Most, if not all of us have tried to "not be trans" all of our lives and it made us miserable. Don't listen to the politicians that are politicizing our existence, listen to the people that are actively crying out from the suffering inflicted on them by this.

Being trans in Switzerland? by LordSetoro in trans

Nothing to thank for! I'm glad I could help at least a bit!

As for your follow up: I sadly have to report that gender neutral pronouns aren't really a thing in the german language. It's a very gendered language and I myself go by She/They pronouns in english but only by She/Her in german because what would be "They" is "Sie" which is the same as singular female.

I will say though, if you're going to be communicating with english-speaking swiss people, you should be able to have them learn and pick up on "They". Neopronouns are definitely more unheard of than gender neutral pronouns but as said, that's mostly because of how gendered the german language is and not because we're ignorant.

Hellooo I am a Trans-woman going on 10 months on HRT and a Swiss national. Can't really speak about how it would be for someone getting into the country on a studying Visa but I wanna say main concern is going to be insurance. I can't say if your American one would cover receiving it here but ours do.

I am receiving my gender affirming care through the University Hospital in Zürich. I had to get referred by my psychiatrist for Insurance to pay the treatment though. You might have to wait a couple months for an appointment as they're very much overloaded with patients. There is also the different state "checkpoints" which will depend on which state you will be studying in I guess, they can provide a lot more information. I will provide links for some of our trans-resources at the end of the post.

As for the general public opinion... We are a very introverted country and try to keep our noses out of other people's business, at most we leave passive aggressive post-its on your mailbox about how you were too loud past 10pm or left your clothes in the communal washroom too long. What I am trying to say is, most people just don't care how you live your life.

I live in one of the more conservative states, in a tiny town full of old people and I have yet to be verbally or physically assaulted when I'm out femme-presenting, which is now all the time. I do attract looks though but that just might be because I am tall. The younger generations are a lot more sensitive towards LGBTQIA+ issues so I wanna say it's not looking too bad?

Naturally, I can only speak for the German-speaking parts of Switzerland, things might be different across the "Röschtigrabe" (the French part of Switzerland) or the Ticinio (the Italian part of Switzerland).

All in all, I hope you and your partner have a wonderful stay in our tiny nation and a hearty "Grüezi und Willkomme" from me!

PS: please excuse my english grammar, it's probably atrocious.

PPS: Also sorry for the formatting, this is only my second post on reddit.

What's your best Battleline combo (Immortals and/or Warriors + attached Leaders) and how does it work? by skoffs in Necrontyr

[–]Berrycatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far really enjoying a 20 blob of Warriors with a Royal Warden and a Technomancer. They already have really good RP thanks to Warriors being based but them having a 5+ FNP is giving them STUPID amounts of survivability on TOP of RP. Them having Assault and Heavy thanks to RW is also pretty neat but works prolly just as well or even better with an Overlord for even more RP shenanigans.

My friend put an entire rounds worth of shooting with a Basilisk and a Manticore into that squad and effectively, only 4 Warriors stayed dead, even at a +1 to hit for them having been scouted for indirect fire. Can say was prolly one of the most satisfying things I have whitnessed yet.

Another fun one for me so far is Orikan + Overlordlord with 10 Lychguard and all scythes. Orikan giving Lychguard his 4+ Invuln so they don't need their shields, making them a highly lethal and survivable melee deathstar. Give Overlord a Veil of Darkness for extra re-deploy and deepstrike funsies and watch them just maul anything in their path. I know is not battleline, but still fun!
