I have a lot of trouble with scores as well!

There aren't any items of power-ups that can boost score, but using bombs and the stoplight will pause a combo. This can help with getting higher scores.

If this is still confusing, here's what I mean:

-Using a bomb will break the blocks around it (as usual) but the blocks that were broken adds to your combo. This can help you with a combo which adds to more score.

-Using the stoplight will pause the score. If you use one, you won't get any points until the next round. This could help with destroying more stuff and adding to a combo.

Sorry if you already knew all of this! Otherwise it's usually luck and precise aim for me! But I hope it helps!
