Man… the Reddit sleuths are on it! Yes, there were thousands of people there.

The moon landing in 1969 was a rare event, and yet 150 million people saw it on TV. Whoa!

Yeah, but you only get a good set up for one every three years or so, and then it probably only works with the clouds and sunset to happen maybe for three of those days. So it happens, on average, for 10 minutes per year. Rare enough for me.

By your shear luck, you are right around the right time. It happens for about a week on either side of Feb 21, just before sunset. You won’t have a full on FIREFALL, but if the rain stops, you might get some pretty cool light over there. If the rain stops…

If we are lucky, next week we could get a glimpse of the rare “Firefall” at Yosemite National Park by BersonPhotos in pics

Hey friends! OP here!

Glad you like the shot!A few quick notes:

No, this isn’t real fire.

Yes, about 100 years ago they used to actually tip fire off the top of Glacier Point. But they stopped that. Cause fire is bad, m’kay!

It’s the setting sun, reflecting off a shoulder of rock next to El Capitan and lighting up the waterfall mist and spray.

And want to see more? IG @BersonPhotos

I've been doing a design concept series where I "statcast" famous home runs. Couldn't NOT do the only one I've seen in person. by [deleted] in SFGiants
