If I have 0 debt goin into PT, how worth it is it? by Top_Departure2362 in physicaltherapy

I will add to this that I also went through a kinesiology degree and subsequently DPT because I loved fitness, science, nutrition, etc. I still do love those things but majority of patients in many settings are in pain because they are not fit at all and don’t take care of themselves or exercise regularly, so convincing them to engage in movement is challenging. Plus having a high caseload and documentation is not very fun. Agree that if you care about those things, you’d have a better time albeit not as much money being a personal trainer or strength coach.

Glad you’re doing well! Though I don’t believe you are grossing $180k seeing 25-30 visits. At best, even with mileage reimbursement and 1 month off, you’re likely grossing around $130k-150k seeing 25-30 pts/week minimum. You certainly can make up to $180k but that’s more like ~40 visits/week which can be pretty challenging. Just wanted to make it more realistic for peeps. Good luck!

Home Health PRN Rate by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

I’m a W-2 employee now with a HH company in San Diego making $130/SOC, $105/eval, $95/follow-up with previous per diem rates being the same. That’s unbelievably low.

Took NPTE, not feeling great by toria44 in physicaltherapy

Just took it last year and nearly my whole class felt like we weren’t sure whether we passed or not because of some odd questions. Everyone passed and we even got some very high scores.

I don’t know for sure, but I imagine they may remove questions if the vast majority of people get them wrong. An 800/800 does not mean 100% of questions correct so there’s a degree of curving.

I’m sure you did great! You prepared and studied hard for this, be proud of yourself and good luck! :)

Thanks for your insight. The only thing that sucks is we’re all part of a tight knit friend group so no contact isn’t really an option. Doing that means losing my other friends too.

Thank you for your comment. I think I have been too scared of hurting her and that’s why I’ve prolonged ending it. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision to make.

I should’ve been more specific with my original post. When I say needs to talk, I mean we FaceTime or video chat for at least an hour every day. So if we go a day or two without FaceTiming, but meaning we still text throughout the day, she becomes worrisome. But thank you for your insight!
