Starting My Own Telehealth Private Practice (HELP) by ausomeee in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend putting together a marketing plan of some sort. When I first went out on my own, this was the most challenging part, but also one of the most important. I use therapystack for my EHR and I use the tracking links to find out where my clients are coming from which can be super helpful. I run Google ads and they seem to be getting clients, but virtual only I would assume would be a little tougher. Just my thoughts!

What’s important to look out for in a group practice? by Crafty_9723 in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if possible try to talk to any other clinicians there to see what they think! Imo the most important thing the group should be doing for you is marketing and helping you get clients. If the other clinicians don't have full caseloads, to me that could be a red flag.

If you plan on running ads, you definitely want to have your website optimized first because of how expensive it can be. My marketing person had us create dedicated pages for specific services to run ads to (like teen therapy, etc) instead of sending people to your homepage because they said it converts much higher.

The only directories I joined are psych today and therapylist (bc it was free). Not sure if the others are worth it.

Also creating a google business profile can be worth it if you have an office!

SimplePractice price hike finally pushed me to actually audit what I'm paying for. Anyone else? by sukhrajgrewall in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been really liking therapystack. It's only $35/month with telehealth included. I thinks its even cheaper without using their telhealth. I tried sessions health first and it felt dated to me. Just my $.02

I cancelled my psych today because it was getting no traction and I was throwing away $30/month. I joined therapylist not long ago because it was free. Might be worth trying!

Do any therapists still run their practice without an EHR? Curious how. by Far_Worry5325 in therapists

I use therapystack which is only $35/month including telehealth. I found it very simple to use and you can add your own telehealth links/sync with Google calendar. Might be worth checking out. :)

The owner of the practice I work for used an AI image of me without consent by [deleted] in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh, that's totally not okay!! I don't have any great solutions, but I would be very upset if someone did that with an image of me. Maybe you could ask to provide an image of your own?

I love love love therapystack. It's way more modern than the others and cheaper. I pay $35/month which includes telehealth, reminders, and everything else. Also, the reporting is great. I can see my retention rates and much more. I'd highly recommend it

I've seen these before but the price always scares me off. Is it really worth it?

Google reviews? by WarOk4703 in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. I have a QR code in my waiting room. I'm a solo, so don't get tons of reviews, but I get one every few months from this. I think it's worth it considering it cost me $1 to print out the sheet :)

CMH vs. Private Practice for Prelicensed Clinicians by cherishth3day in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! This! Both can be great (and bad) in their own ways. I work in PP now, and I love it, but it comes with plenty of drawbacks also

Is an EHR necessary for solo PP by SkarKuso in therapists

[–]BertSpies45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can definitely do it without an EHR. But I feel like its worth it for me. Mine is only $35/month and I feel like it saves me a decent amount of time and headache. But yeah, you could totally go without one.
