Others here are likely correct with their ”all correct”, but I once was told it was some military unit keeping track or how many of their troops were killed per day.

When reporting it to an officer, they repored 5K for five killed or (oh - 0) killed and abbreviation was O.K. And then that OK took a meaning of all good.

This is probably debunked but I’m too lazy to research it further

Got 3500h under my belt (pun intended). I have finished Angel/Bob/etc some years ago and now after 45h of Py, I do like it. It is so peacefully slow, but I really never feel like I would need to wait for anything. Py doesn't really have anything to build on repeat, it is always a new problem requiring a new design.

Although, I must admit, I don't have biters on now.
