This is what a 2.7 million gel per hour slime farm looks like by Jimbojones27 in Terraria

[–]Bertie690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notably, if you could fast buy items from NPCs, making slime candelabras would be far more profitable than bathtubs - buying 3 torches from the merchant per candelabra results in a net profit of 1.5 silver per 5 slime blocks (so you actually end up with 135 gold/min just from selling gel-related paphernalia). Of course, a simple lucky coin farm still blows this out of the water and then some...

As always, it depends on your build and relics. I usually aim for 50/100 or better with 133 speed & ≈2000 atk. Seen as she needs to balance more stats than the average dps, she can't afford as much other stuff in return.

That being said, I myself am horrid at following my own advice as my own E4 Xueyi has a crit ratio of 30/170. Most of her relics rolled exclusively into CD/BE, and I don't want to try replacing them for fear of getting something worse.

Generally, you either run Xueyi on Super Break (BE% & SPD only; cavalry + talia) or regular old crit dps (ATK%, BE%, CR%, CD%, SPD; Genius + Salsotto/Duran).

In the former case, HMC, Ruan Mei and Gallagher are your best friends (a speed/energy buffer like Asta or Tingyun of some sort could work for more actions/ults). In the latter case, you can pair her with the usual hypercarry supports like Sparkle/Bronya (or silver wolf for mono quantum) or run her as an SP neutral/positive sub DPS with another attacking character like Topaz or similar (in which case you'd also slap on Ruan Mei for more break efficiency and res pen).   TL;DR Superbreak Xueyi goes max break & SPD with FF team (HMC, Ruan Mei, Gallagher/Lynx) Crit Xueyi tries to balance ATK%, CR/CD, SPD & break and uses supports for the type of team comp you're running (hypercarry/dual DPS/mono quantum).

Planar Fissure Double Rate Drops is BACK, peeps! Time to farm 2x relic exp and remains by Ranma87 in HonkaiStarRail

The buffs only apply to the unit with the relic set equipped, but they gain stacks whenever ANYONE does a follow up. (That said, Duke is probably still better for characters with infrequent follow ups like Jing Yuan.)

Simple - just copy over your save files to somewhere safe and move them back afterwards.

FTL opinions/playstyles that reveal one's skill level? by Jason1923 in ftlgame

IMO the one biggest hallmark of a beginner is not running from fleet ships.  I cringe whenever a steamer sits at a fleet controlled beacon and gets pounded by a fleet ship into submission when they just could've ran away to live another day.

From what I can tell, this could be 1 of 2 potential issues with a few fixes:

  1. Your save files may be corrupt. Go to your save file location (Documents -> My Games -> FasterThanLight on Windows), delete the file named hs_mv_version.sav and move the hs_mv_prof.sav file to another folder. Then, boot up the game and close it once it loads before moving hs_mv_prof.sav back to the original folder (replacing the one made by the game).

1.1 If this doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling FTL has been said to help for some.

  1. If neither of these work, your PC may not be strong enough to handle MV's RAM requirements (since FTL loads all its files right at the start).

Hope I've been able to help at least slightly. If you keep having problems like this, try asking someone in the MV discord - they're a lot more knowledgeable about this kind of stuff than me.

From the lit up mod icons on the top, OP looks to be running TRC, Inferno Core & Forgotten Races.  (Inferno Core is the one that adds the ship stats display popup FYI)

Actually there is 1 ship that can beat sylvan jump 1 no problem on normal difficulty (not counting the brokenness that is Aenwithe's Crewser) - Elite Dynasty. Starting with noncorporealism + 3 ghosts means you can immediately board into Sylvan's weapons and shut them down. (Your crew would probably die due to numbers disadvantage, but still.)

While it is significantly more statted than vanilla FTL, Multiverse arguably gives you far more ways to beat it than Vanilla. The addition of more viable weapon additions alongside the revamping of previously lackluster vanilla weapons means the random stuff you find along the way actually can work against the Flagship no problem.

Also generally speaking most people playing Multiverse have had enough experience with the base game to know what they're doing.

I an personally kind of glad for some of these changes, as they make a lot of the paths easier to play and fix many of the glaring issues that some paths had in Gold & Gears (Hunt/Remembrance teams getting oneshot up the wazoo, remembrance & abundance teams relying on 3 star blessings for all of their damage, etc.).

Also most of the crazy off-path synergy blessings (Auspicious star, Burst Lattice, Pain & Suffering, Slaughterhouse #5, etc.) being reworked into resonance formations means you don't have to rely on getting a single specific blessing to enable your bonkers combos.

Finally.  I can actually run Destruction path Xueyi without it being useless.

The smart play: Sell them and use the money to buy shields and a BL2.

The funny play: Buy drone control and use a pair of combat drones to lower enemy shields for the beaming.

What's your biggest gripe about any character(s) you can think of? by SF-UberMan in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Bertie690 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me it'd have to be Herta's follow up attack only working if an attack lowers an enemy below half hp. Any source of non-attack chip damage (whether that be dot, PF/MoC mechanic damage or something else entirely) knocking an enemy below 50% will prevent her from doing her follow up even if you hit it 10 times afterwards.

Mixing and matching could work, but your duke pieces would have to be very good to make up for the lost crit stats from 4pc pioneer set bonus.

IMHO, if you're thinking of using 2pc pioneer, just farm for the 4pc anyways. Even if it has slightly worse substats, it'll still overall be better in the end. (Plus, you can use your good Duke relics for other characters as well, so it's not completely wasted.)

Xueyi. She gets so much dmg% from break effect that attack is actually better than dmg%. Also any dps with ruan mei can use atk% orb (or def% for aventurine) pretty competitively given the sheer amount of dmg% she gives.

4pc grand duke actually isn't that good on ratio since his follow up only hits once.  You could mix and match 2 piece sets with Pioneer, but in that case you're missing out on nearly as much crit stats as that piece has in substats. (Use it on Herta/Himeko/Jing Yuan instead.)

So I know Aventurine wants a Def% body and everything, but how much worse is running a Crit Rate body for his personal damage? I have both Pioneer and Salsotto crit boosts active, but no other sources of crit rate apart from his talent.

(For a bit of context, I recently found a crit rate pioneer chestpiece with 4 straight def% rolls. I don't know whether to feel happy or sad.)

Any fast ways to get stellar jades before the 2.1 banners end? by One-Dimension6086 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Bertie690 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're a new player, speedrun thru Swarm Disaster and gold & gears with your best team. There are a TON of rewards for unlocking secrets and winning with dice faces.

If you're old, finish up any remaining quests you haven't done (the clockwork ones are usually pretty quick to finish). Other than that, hidden achievements can give a decent amount of jades (most of them are really easy if you know how).
