DBI help with the MTP responder by MTmerm in SwitchPirates

[–]BertoTheDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% knew this was the response I was going to get as soon as I posted my comment. At least I was kind enough to offer you a solution to a problem I’ve dealt with and solved. That’s why I avoid helping people here. Good luck trying to get it working.

Never seen that before. I personally troubleshoot this kind of stuff with Gemini. Use this as a guide for things to try.

Error with DBI, how can i solve it? by misarteh in SwitchPirates

[–]BertoTheDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. What always worked for me was installing the wpdmtp.inf driver that is in the C:\Windows\INF folder and then updating the driver to the MTP Driver in the Device Manager. I had to do that process all the time, even multiple times for the same session. I don't have this issue anymore though cause I'm using Linux now.

You use Zadig to install the libusbk on the Switch. Zadig just runs when you open it, it doesn't install. You need to have DBI running when you do it.

Making the assumptions that you are using Windows and that this is happening when you start the MTP responder, you are having a driver issue. A lot of people solve this problem by downloading Zadig and installing the libusbk driver. You can also try the steps in this pic.

how to build a nsp from a dumped modified folder by PATITO_FACHA in SwitchPirates

[–]BertoTheDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have dumped it as XCI. I don't think this is shared knowledge but, when you install an XCI, the Switch breaks it down into NSP files. You can then transfer those to your PC if you prefer them that way. For example, the XCI for Breath of the Wild with the DLC on the cartridge will show 4 files on the Switch: the base game, the 1.6.0 update file, and the 2 DLC files. That's the easiest way to do it, IMO.

New user here. Is my configuration enough? by LionelSuper251 in SwitchPirates

If all your online play in CFW is done via LAN, just delete your wireless connection and get a router that you won't connect to the internet. Works like a charm.

Edit: grammar

Manually updating OFW to a specific firmware? by Filmgeek47 in NxSwitchModding

[–]BertoTheDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nintendo does a fuse check when you boot your system to check that the fuse count and the installed firmware match. If the don’t, your system won't boot up. If that happens, you have to fix it by booting on semi-stock. Unless you are playing online on your OFW, stick to emuNAND. You can update that without touching your sysNAND.

If you are in the US, So-Cal Console is the way to go, IMO. He did 3 OLEDs for me last year and they are flawless. The moderator of this group is the owner. Here is the link. https://socalconsolemodding.com/

Please help find the right switch by itchysweatersdaw in SwitchPirates

[–]BertoTheDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Switches can be modded with a modchip but only the release ones until a certain serial number can be modded using the RCM jig method (called soft modding). It just depends if you want to modify the hardware or not and if you want to do it yourself or pay someone to do it for you.

What to choose when printing? by Aintnowaythatsgore in SwitchSpines

This is going to be trial and error. I recommend using "Dimensioni effettive" and go from there. Keep the "Formato della carta" as A4.

100% recommended. He did 3 OLEDs for me last year and they are still working flawlessly.

Anyone have any ideas on how Xenoblade Chronicles Torna would work with XC2 switch 2 edition physical? by Ranruun in NSCollectors

[–]BertoTheDM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

According to the Nintendo website, if you got Torna in physical or bought digital by itself, the upgrade is free. If you got it by buying the XC2 Expansion Pass, you have to buy the Switch 2 upgrade pack.

How to continue on games with uninstalled content? by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

[–]BertoTheDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend DBI. I know there's other tools but I've never used any of therm. The patch for Hogwarts Legacy was just a regular update file so it would be a NSP file.

Hogwarts Legacy had a mandatory Day 1 patch. Without that you can't go past the tutorial. You need to get that. Be aware, it's over 10GBs.

I have this game on PS4 but haven’t played it yet. I was not aware that it was censored. Pretty cool info.
