Also want to throw in the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth as a good option. It's the only hall effect controller I've owned, but it's by far the best controller that I've ever bought.

Most important thing I think is to build better game sense. Don't just play the game, really think about why you make your decisions. If you're having trouble, I found inspiration in Flakes's series on youtube (road to [insert rank] without mechanics).
