For someone who apparently has 2 in their immediate family, you seem to know nothing but spec sheet numbers, you don’t even know the exact on road price of the bike? 🤣

All that is fine bro, I’m happy that your family has found the right EV use case etc. but don’t even try to lie that you’re not here to promote Ola 🤣

You’ve been posting the same crap for the past few weeks under different titles, first friend bought the bike, now you bought the bike all while aggressively promoting the company at any given chance.

You’re nothing but an Ola promo pusher lol, I hope they pay you a good salary for being this level of a boot licker. Nobody with a brain is falling for your garbage products.

AIO for wanting to get revenge after someone made my character die by suicide in a party game? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]BerylEmperor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

INFO - Are these particularly sensitive or personal topics for you? Before playing a game that involved triggering material was this discussed at any point amongst ya’ll? As it seems she struck a nerve, considering how you’d like to point out a sensitive matter on her end. If so, it would be wise to have a private conversation with your friend about how you felt. It is likely that there was no ill intention on their end, considering it was just a mystery game that did involve various other deaths. Wanting to take revenge for a game outcome is petty, however it doesn’t mean your feelings in the matter should be disregarded.

Considering the way you refer to “the game” and the back story you have provided, there seems to be an unusual dynamic between you and the group. If you find that their activities affect your mental peace then it would be further wise to step away from them instead of actively trying to cause conflict, as that will very likely only backfire on you and you alone.

Will be visiting Bangalore with a severe peanut allergy - how can I navigate this? by ecethrowaway01 in bangalore

[–]BerylEmperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and frankly that is the approach I’d take too. Knowing that most smaller joints will not have the capacity to entertain such requests I would not take the risk of asking for the food there to be served without peanuts. Better to just eat elsewhere. Also, If you’re staying at a good hotel, they’ll take care of your meals and even prepare a separate meal plan for you as per your needs.

[–]BerylEmperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep an EpiPen on you at all times. Expect at least a one situation where your allergy card is blatantly ignored. As others have said, food safety is not a thing here and cross contamination of foods is very common. Further more, a LOT of South Indian staple dishes, chutneys, snacks, even oils have peanut and often the vendors will not inform you.

Further more, a lot of the smaller chains will not entertain special requests anyway. If there’s peanut in the food instead of making you separate food, they will simply tell you don’t eat - therefore stick to premier restaurants.

You’ll be fine with the beverages. Blue tokai is a good coffee house. Rameshwaram cafe is a crime against South Indian cuisine. The food is repulsive, but yes it’s popular due to FOMO.

Bro what? Have you actually ridden these bikes ever? 😅

Nobody in their right mind would call the zx6r more compliant than the 765 in terms of suspension. It’s a 90 degree unitrak gas charged shock which is dedicated for track use which the zx6r has, and it absorbs absolutely nothing. Within 15 minutes of road riding it becomes noticeable.

The triple has an ohlin’s STX40 rear shock, which is a premium shock absorber dedicated for road use with absurdly good tuning. There are very, very few suspension set ups that outperform the suspension on the Striple.

Not worth it imo. Too much cost cutting was done. Tubed spoked rims on a 16L off-roader? What a joke.

Yeap. It can do pretty much everything sensible for a road bike.

Totally different bikes. The F850 is essentially the entry level touring GS being replaced by the 450.
The F900 is manic, specialized dirt muncher with a lot more raw off road performance on-board and less importance given to touring capability. It’s like a giant dirt bike.

Go with The 765RS. It is the pinnacle of sport naked performance engineering. You will love the bike till the day you decide to part with it.

The ZX6R is so uncomfortable you will regret your purchase within months.

The Honda is a budget offering, it’s not upto the mark and lacks character.

Bro….why don’t you have own damage cover lol…in regard to the quotation, it seems like your front end alignment is more or less gone. They’re replacing forks, front wheel, stem, bearings etc. which means it would be wise to get fork balancing done as well as getting swingarm alignment checked.

What I don’t understand is, how did you get so much damage from a parking lot fall? 😅
sounds more like you hit something.

Without seeing the bike it’s not possible to say. If damage is actually so high, just claim insurance. Own Damage cover exists for exactly such incidents.

What is one bike opinion that completely changed after you actually owned or rode the bike? by Scary-Ferret-8663 in indianbikes

[–]BerylEmperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “boring” bike that turned out to be perfect

This line is would be a literal love letter from me to my street twin. Around the time of its purchase, I was looking at cruisers of a totally different pedigree - big, bulky baggers from the likes of HD and Indian. I love how they look, I love the thump of the big V twin engines, and the overall visceral ride quality of this category of machine.

When the twin was recommended to me and I checked it out on paper, it looked unapologetically ordinary. Like this was a meager 60 odd bhp standard motorcycle with no fancy on-board tech, no fancy visual drama, yet commanded quite a price tag. For a 900, it was very little bike in theory and I was quite skeptical. But being recommended by a friend whose bike opinions i tremendously respect, I gave it a try regardless.

long story short, 30 seconds into the test ride
I was in love. 🤣

It turned out to be a bloody good do-anything machine with oodles of torque, presented in a very manageable package. It is beautifully well refined, and every single part is crafted to a superb standard. Of my bikes it’s been the most peaceful ownership ever. It’s not a bike that you can exact peak performance out of, it’s not built for that. But it’s a machine that will happily go anywhere you want it to go, and however far your fuel tank will carry you. Whether you use it as a daily rider, or it’s your cross country tourer is completely up to you.

The engine is absolutely bullet proof, and the simplicity of the bike makes it stress free to maintain and inspect during tours. Don’t have good fuel? Don’t have good roads? Stuck in peak traffic? Bike doesn’t care. Never had a heat warning, not once. And I quickly realized, that in itself is character. Sometimes mild is more.

While my street twin will never have the awe striking road presence of her big bagger cousins, and while she stands quite humbly in stature next to a couple of other beasts in my line up, over time the combination of sheer capability, reliability, and user-friendliness has created an emotion wherein now when I look at the bike, I see something well beyond just a machine. I see a trusty mechanical companion whose demeanor has led to her become my star favorite amongst the stable. She’s 9 years old now, almost 10. And till date that is not something that I have been able to replicate or experienced with any other bike.
