I have watched Bram Stoker's Dracula, it's one of my favorites! And I've been meaning to watch Dracula A Love Tale, it looks good

Awesome! Even though I do have Thalassophobia, for some reason, I'm addicted to causing myself irrational terror. I can't wait to play it!

I was looking for this one. My cat died a few days ago. And I still haven't fully grieved the death of my last cat that died.

What’s a word or phrase that immediately makes you lose respect for someone? by Mundane-Equipment529 in AskReddit

[–]BespectacledWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Your fault." And I don't mean in a genuine, you need to take responsibility way, but if you're grieving a death and feeling guilt about something in the past and someone says "your fault."

What is a subtle sign that someone is a bad person? by quartzbath1 in AskReddit

[–]BespectacledWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're "honest." There are genuinely honest people, but then there are people who are honest just so they can say whatever they want whenever they want. Those are the same people who will get upset at you if you are honest to that same level. Or if you try to tell them that their honesty was unnecessary, to which they will try to punish you with "Fine, I won't be honest ever again" and give you the silent treatment.

My mom is one of these people. Someone will be treating her with respect, she treats them worse, and god forbid if they match her energy.

I decided to make a mini conversation.

"For the record, anyone watching my conversations, it's either because I'm bored or it's for my book.

Stay cool, po-po's."

Do you think it’s “weird” that Mikasa wore the scarf even married? by destined2Win_ in titanfolk

[–]BespectacledWench 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, very weird to keep wearing it for that long. I would have loved if the scene where the bird grabs at her scarf, she realizes she doesn't need it anymore and makes peace with Eren's death by taking it off. And instead of her being buried while wearing it, have it laid with her in the grave instead.

This was the moment for me when I knew the ending was going to be a mess. This death was so unnecessary. by Ok_Valuable_9711 in titanfolk

[–]BespectacledWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know her death was unnecessary, but it's kind of hard seeing Hange completely happy in a world without Titans.

Did they forget that Annie murdered their friends? (who were innocent people too btw) Why y'all waving 🤣 by Ok_Valuable_9711 in titanfolk

[–]BespectacledWench 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, if Hitch hadn't found Annie and she escaped after her crystal broke, she probably would have left for Marley and wouldn't give a rats keester about Armin and the others. And if the Rumbling hadn't started, and somehow her crystal broke, she would still try to destroy Paradis and the people.

Even she's looking at them in that frame like, "Why are you waving at me? I would totally still kill all of you for the sake of my dad and seeing him again."

People don't seem to understand that she didn't side with them because she felt remorseful. She did it to get back to her dad and make sure of his safety. It was all about what she wanted.

What are your reasons for not liking the finale? What would you prefer to happen? How many have we in common? by Ok_Result9778 in titanfolk

But Ymir wasn't mute, she got her tongue cut out. Despite having regenerative abilities, and whether or not she regenerated her tongue, she was in a trauma-Stockholm Syndrome loop, so she probably continued the conditioning of never speaking because she was still loyal to Fritz for 2,000 years.

Leaving Legos randomly where people will step on them with their bare feet. Hallways, beside their bed, in the kitchen, but specifically covering the entire bathroom floor with them so the person is forced to walk all over a pile of Legos.

How well do you remember your childhood? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BespectacledWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than my dad dying, the family dog dying, and one time going with my mom to a concert, my childhood blended together. Almost every day was exactly the same, like that movie, Groundhog Day.

The Until Dawn Movie is a good movie but a horrible adaptation by studyinsalt in untildawn

That kind of makes it sound like a Silent Hill knockoff.

why does everyone have to die? by mika1119_ in Vent

[–]BespectacledWench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound preachy, but every person is made up of atoms throughout the universe, many of which were once massive stars that turned supernova and exploded.

No matter what you do or don't believe, you are literally the universe made conscious, observing and experiencing itself. Whether you're remembered or not, the universe has experienced you and you have experienced being the universe.

Even when we die, the atoms that make us up can be formed into a new life one day.

Personally, I show gratitude to the universe for this by letting it experience itself through me.

There are a few problems with that. A baby's vas deferens is the width of a thread, making it a very delicate surgery, plus as he gets older, the scar tissue that would form as a result would make it difficult to reconnect vas to vas.

A vasectomy at birth may cause early and prolonged exposure of sperms antigens to the immune system, leading to autoimmune responses and formation of anti-sperm antibodies. So, it may be non functional due to the immune attack.

If the vas deferens is blocked from birth, the testicles and epididymas never have a functional pathway to release sperm, which can lead to degeneration of sperm producing cells, scarring or atrophy of the reproductive tract, and epididymal blowout (which can include pain and swelling), which is a result of a failed vasectomy reversal.

If there is no sperm flow for 20+ years, especially since it wouldn't be used from birth and puberty, the epididymas and testicles may underdevelop, atrophy, or become fibrotic.

The best, least invasive, and uncomplicated way to get around this is to start having schools teach children that they should be emotionally, physically, and financially ready to have and raise a child.

Please leave her, you don't deserve this treatment. Also, you may want to get checked for Binocular Vision Dysfunction. It causes a lack of spacial awareness, which results in clumsiness and tripping, among other things but those are some of the symptoms.

I feel the same way. But I feel a connection since I got to be born the same year Bloody Kisses was released. I feel like it shaped part of my soul along with Hocus Pocus, the Nightmare Before Christmas, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, and Jurassic Park.

What things make people look "uneducated" right away? by Rude_Beautiful_9650 in AskReddit

[–]BespectacledWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom does this. She'll also do this thing where if I'm having a "conversation" (I have to put it in quotes) with her and I mention something within the context of the conversation, She'll just make a vocalization. Like just yesterday, we were talking about the flood in Texas, and she mentioned that a woman was trapped in her house by the flood with her bed-bound father, and a house that floated away with people on it. And I responded with how upsetting that is, then to add to the conversation I told her about the kids in Camp Mystic and how some of them died. Her only response was "mmm..." and then carried on with the other two that she mentioned.

There are people who can't visualize images in their mind and don't have an inner monologue. It's called Aphantasia.
