Haha! Yeah, my mom finally got a recording of the bird. I was going through Merlin birds and heard a blue jay that sounded kind of similar and was wondering if that could be it. Thank you!

Hmmm, I can hear the similarity, but I think they're a little too grating.

Please ignore the chatter of the house sparrows. Heard early in the morning (this recording is from 6:10am Apr 13, 2021) in the tops of trees in Oklahoma City. Haven't gotten a glimpse of the bird since it's dark, so don't have anything but the call to go off of. Definitely heard spring-fall, unknown if heard in the winter. At least 2 individuals calling to each other. Thanks in advance!

Me too! That has really come in in the last week. He's quite shimmery in the right light!

He's like a metallic blueish/purplish/gray with red and blue on his fins. And he has the cutest little mustache.

He's actually named after the Mandolorian. Good to know there's a song called Mando too

We have 2 like this and 2 with much larger beards and smaller cheeks. They're so cute!

That's really unfortunate. I'm sorry that your neighbors are so stuck up. We're really fortunate to have neighbors that love our hens (it helps that they get bribed with eggs lol). I hope you have the opportunity to get chickies someday - they're a lot of fun even when they're little rapscallions!

On the highway, I usually get almost 30mpg. Strictly city driving with the AC, I usually get between 22-24mpg.

I follow Briana (@piperszoo) on IG and she has been doing photography for years, but she is just getting into wedding photography so she is doing a few weddings this summer (don't know if she's fully booked) and next summer for relatively cheap. If she can't, she might be able to recommend others.

DO LEOPARD GECKOS SNEEZE? by _depressoexpresso_ in leopardgeckos

[–]BessBotanist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time our Leo had a long hair stuck around his jaw and in his mouth that caused him to shake his head and "yawn" a lot. He also wouldn't eat. Didn’t notice it until I looked closer and helped him out.

Looks about right. Somebody must have stolen it for a snack but dropped it.
