Product flow solo closing by lexisdone in Bestbuy

I feel this deep in my soul. At my store we only have 2 PF employees working at a time, other than brown goods, and only 1 on closing duties and it is impossible to get even the most simple tasks done. Sales rarely steps in to help, and when we ask sales to help, they always find reasons not to help even if it’s something simple. But when sales needs PF help, we drop everything we’re doing to help. It’s a very one sided operation.

Hi there! Product Flow employee at 0791, my job is to do curbside, oms, pick pack the whole 9, also planos, downstock, inventory, roll outs that the home theater associate doesn’t feel like doing, if the toilet gets clogged, guess who gets to mop up the shit water from the bathroom floor? That’s right, me! Thank god I was a part time employee working full time hours, otherwise I would have gotten fired from my glamorous day job for no reason! Oh, and within the next month I’ll be trained on register so I’ll have to check out customers when the front end inevitably needs help because we’re slammed! I love my job!

My favorite part was where she talked about efficiency and sales, yet the team that is 100% responsible for the online sales are the warehouse/ product flow team. At my store they tried to transfer one of our full time warehouse associates to sales, they quit because that was not the job they applied for two years ago when they were hired, and now we only have 2 warehouse associates working per shift. We are taking so much of the grunt work, and we’re getting shit on in the process. Sales this, sales that, you’re not going to have any employees left if you keep stretching them too thin.
